Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)
The design is much improved (clearly KCRag and social media feedback was listened to! More of this please!). The height shrunk by 30ft and massing shifted on Wyandotte. Parking is 1:1 for residential and will be at, or below, 100 spaces for the hotel (valet only spaces). Sidewalk enhancements/traffi...

My predictions for races with more than two candidates... - O'Neill vs Mason - French vs Manley - Rea vs Short - Kelley vs Curls - Bough vs Sasse - Bunch vs Rizzo - Tarwater vs Duncan With final results in on the Board of Elections website, all my guesses except for 1st At-Large were correct. In th...

Some movement on the SomeraRoad plan. Yesterday, a project plan applied for 1220-28 Union and 1241 St. Louis was applied for. No uploads yet.

Re: Atlas 303
It definitely grew taller. Design changed some. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52697405976_d114125634_h.jpg A few edits have been made to the design. More windows were added to the ground floor to not make it so blank. Landscaping intentions added as well. New rendering perspective added. http...

Are we still too fat for Zara? Honestly, the obesity rate keeps increasing so even places that weren’t so fat in 2012 (when that story was written) have surely gotten larger since then. And places that were already “too fat” are even more now. Just my own personal observation from personal experien...

It would be nice, but East Village is the way to go. If a minority owner in Sporting KC wants to pitch this, then do it for a new Children's Mercy Park.

Re: 2023 KCMO Election
Twitter user Jaz Hays posted the latest MEC report results. Some observations... At Large - 2nd: Lindsay French raised more this time than Jenay Manley but from far fewer donors. Lindsay French has far more cash on hand going into the primary than Manley. - 3rd: Donors are lining behind Patterson-Ha...

We need to keep an eye out for the development plan on Compass since the plans will eventually be uploaded there. I’m just hoping it doesn’t look as cheesy in real life as it does currently. Looks like a Miami Beach or Cancun hotel

Core drills were on site this past week. They might still be there, but regardless it’s good to see some movement on this.

A few more details... - The top floor is setback from the west a bit to create a rooftop terrace. Because of the location, the views of Crown Center, Liberty Memorial and Downtown from here are pretty good (especially for a 4th floor). We placed the roof deck on this side since we feel the neighbori...

it's a white terrazzo floor. impossible to damage without a hardened steel tool. It's not messed up. They clean up all the scuff marks every night. I was there while they were doing it. Might need someone with a stick with a tennis ball on the end to walk around and erase the scuff marks during tha...

I definitely understand the points being made and appreciate the feedback. I’m going to hold off on sharing more details until after I meet with the Union Hill board on Tuesday. I will say that I expect the debate over the design and ground level activation to be quite tense on here. It needs some w...

I think he’s probably worse than Crissy Dastrup, which is incredible I’m still backing him on the basis that of the three candidates, he’s the only one to respond to communications I’ve sent. He’s old school. No question about that, but I can at least have a discussion with him about anything and e...

Re: 112 & 206 East 31st
So with the elevation changes between grand and walnut, does that mean there will be a commercial bay on the walnut side at grade with that street? Under the current configuration, there is no commercial space at 31st and Walnut. The tight parking garage layout, with the 19 additional spaces that w...
