Jo Co's bid for H&R Block

problem is with 2 states you don't have one state board governing all of these tax breaks....you have 2 states competing so one state can try to "outbid" the other. DMW.....you need to understand what I'm saying. I don't like it EITHER direction......nobody is winning. I'm fine with W&...

Do we need more high rises or just infill in the loop?

ig...I couldn't believe there's going to be no retail either...especially right around that area that has so many residents. I was actually hoping for a grocery store in there....it's the perfect centralized location. I do know the garage will be painted (or something) to look like books in a booksh...

Boozefish Wine Bar?

it was very hot for a long time and now has died off a bit but is still a pretty busy after work bar.

Good wine and wine tasting/lessons given as well.

Jo Co's bid for H&R Block

I don't care who approached who......that type of activity doesn't help anybody in the metro. I'm sure there are millions of companies looking to move from a metro like Cinci to somewhere else but the burbs never look to pull them in....I'm sure they ask for RFQ's as well....wonder why that is? This...

by definition they are staying downtown....most southern edge. Would have liked them north of Crown Center but it sounds like the building they are going to build will be very dramatic from the hill.

New Feature for testing

Could a few of you look this over and let me know your thoughts? It's a dynamic map of all projects downtown (well not all, but a good part of them) http://www.kcskyscrapers.com/map.php I'm working w/ free stuff here so that's why it's not the most user friendly. Using the census bureau's mapping so...

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

With Cordish on board it shouldn't be much of a competition.....it's not in these retailers M.O. (Niketown, ESPNzone, HRC, HoB, Virgin) to do suburban developments....they are usually right in the middle of an urban core entertainment district...which KC Live! is to a tee. Maybe they were looking at...

Channel 9 leaving Downtown?

how ironic to look at the biz journal and see tax breaks at their best and it's worse:

- H&R Block wants breaks to move downtonw (good)

- Channel 9 gets it for bailing (bad)
