The hotel president is back on track...approved by the city council today. Restoration should resume soon....done by 2005.

agreed and I'm the same way....but very few in any city are just pure sports fans...some are complete bandwagon jumpers, some are more casual fans.

Is Have a Nice Day Cafe closed?

Yes, and the Cactus Cafe and Have a Nice Day chains are part of the same company. (kinda like how Taco Bell and KFC are part of the same company) All that really happened was the company switched their KC location from one brand to another. I see the Have A Nice Day Cafe brand comin' back to KC in ...

Getting NBA in KC and cities competing for NBA

it's pretty hard to persecute royals fans for not filling the stadium every night with how bad that team preformed in the 90's. It's easy to just say "bandwagon" fans and sure some of them are but come on. I can show you years where Royals attendance was over the mighty Cardinals attendanc...

New downtown fitness center

Just saw in the paper that St. Luke's will be running a fitness center in the basement of the 11th & Oak parking garage. Rates are $35/month....pretty good depending on what they offer. Discounts for city employees.

Great to see more services like this sprout up.

Then, we'll pull this topic back up and see how everybody did.

KC Live direct competition with Village West

I don't care which one is better, they both suck to me :) Not a hunter/fisher so really doesn't bother me...glad the BPS idea died downtown though.

Cordish needs to announce a high profile tenant or 2 pretty quickly to sink their teeth into any other retailer they are looking at.

Wi-Fi Hotspots expanding -- Finally...

Add more to the list:

(not free though from what I've seen)

- Barney Allis Plaza
- Illus Davis park
- rooftop of new library
- Oak parking garage (ground level retail)

Looks like $5/day, $14/month (with yearly contract)
