The original Tea Drops in Westport is all tea and boba tea. I'm sure they have plain coffee on the menu but it's definitely a tea place.KCMax wrote: Its not really a tea place, its a coffee bar. I think the tea refers to boba tea.

Re: Digital cameras that take pictures quickly?
I'm selling some of my photo equipment. Includes DSLR, lens, 2 battery packs, battery/vertical grip, AC adapter, CF cards, and several filters: Circular Polarizer, UV haze, Magnification for Macro filters. PM if interested. :) Reason for selling: I have three other DSLR's, I don't need a fourth....

Re: Why NOT Kansas City?
In my opinion, it's because the city is literally divided. People on the Kansas side don't respect the MO side and the Missouri side talks crap about the KS side. It's that simple. Each side is selfish in their own way. There's also some division between the Northland and the rest of Kansas City. T...

That's confusing me. That sounds like Overland Park has suburbs of its own... Isn't Overland Park a suburb of Kansas City? I didn't know that suburbs have their own mini burbsdangerboy wrote: So says the guy living in a suburb of Overland Park...

Everytime I drive past there in the late evening (10-11pm), All-Star Pizza is always crowded with the parking lot packed. I guess it's a good fit in that location.NorthlandGuy wrote: All-Star Pizza and Pub now open.

Re: Portland Oregon trip, weekend of Aug 28
I've seen quite a few events at the Rose Garden and always have ridden the train afterwards. What's the concert? The stop for Light Rail is literally in front of the Rose Garden. What's the walking food tour consist of? It's actually a fight, UFC 102. I don't know how long it will last because I m...

Portland Oregon trip, weekend of Aug 28
I'm going to be in Portland Oregon from Aug 27 to Aug 30. I already have a hotel which is in Downtown Portland. I'm planning on using Trimet for most of my visit, but the event I'm attending will be ending late Saturday or early Sunday at the Rose Garden Arena. Anyone know of a nice shuttle/limo ...

Re: Wind Turbine May Rise Above I-435
This piece made me wonder why we don't see more wind turbines in the metro... Do any of you know of any at all, or would this be the first? There's a wind turbine generator in North Kansas City. It's located somewhere near the train yards between I-35 and Harrah's Casino. You can see it when you g...

Post one of the photos with the noise so we can see what you're talking about. I can also check out your camera settings by reading the exif data on your photo.

Re: Private Parties at Bars/Clubs
The Cashew looks like a real nice location, but I don't think I can get 100 people to show up. Maybe I can use it for a bigger party someday. Jack Stack is nice too but it closes too soon at 1030pm. Thanks for the suggestions. Has anyone been to a private event at 810 Zone on the plaza? It looks li...

Private Parties at Bars/Clubs
Anyone know of any good places where you can rent out a room or section of a bar/club. The back room of the Bulldog was the perfect location but they already have it booked on the night I wanted. Pretty much I'm looking for something exactly like the Bulldog's private dining room, with it's own ba...

Re: Does Olathe Have a Soul?
For that matter, how quickly could you define the "soul" of Kansas City proper? Especially before the downtown revitalization. I too would like to know the "soul" of Kansas City before P and L, the Sprint Center, and the almighty Cosentino's Grocery came to be. Remember Downt...

Re: Digital SLR Sensor Cleaning
KClofter, I used to frequent all those places during my UMKC days! IPAS was my favorite! Loved the owners eccentricity. I had no clue that it closed down. I really enjoyed looking through their used equipment. What was the place on Cambridge Circle? They only sold photo chemicals, paper, and film?...
