Re: OFFICIAL - Aspiria (formerly Sprint Campus)

Those expansive man-made lakes never do much for me. They smell bad sometimes. Yes, seems very dated. I think the planners had deluded ideas that workers would take leisurely walks around the lakes on their lunch hours when instead workers wished they could walk a block or two and have multiple cho...

I agree with GRID, this will be a failed project within a few years. People will go initially but grow bored with it in time and it will close.

You clearly haven't been on that street after 10pm on a Friday or Saturday when it was open? If you did, you'd remember the street car racing and donut-polooza.

There is experience locally to tunnel. Hunt Midwest has done it with Subtropolis and Martin Marietta at Randolph mines. My brother used to supervise limestone extraction in underground mines.

No. It's the building on the NW corner of 10th and Oak. It's been owned by an Abnos for years. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.1022039,-94.5783192,3a,73.7y,296.15h,107.31t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1s9nJD1p5-aFSJkFyVeoTCyg!2e0!7i16384!8i8192?entry=ttu https://kchistory.org/image/insurance-building?solr_nav%...

It could become an office for an engineering or construction company or someplace like Mark One Electric, Ervin Cable, or Spectrum that needs office space in a building where they can also have vehicle service bays. The State, City, or County might also use it for that purpose. The KCPD uses an old ...

I've thought about what happens to that complex once the IRS processing needs are reduced by online filing to the point they don't need that space any longer and start consolidating all the processing centers into just one final one. Does Fed Ex take it over as a processing center? Amazon fulfillmen...

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?

The most obvious focus is results. They have protested new developments that set aside some affordable housing. Has KCTenants created one unit of new housing for low-income people? If not, why not? If so, how many units, and list where they are. If social housing is their goal, how will they achieve...

There does seem to be continued progress, but I remain concerned about the historic piece of the project. Fitting a swimming pool and roof deck up there is no small feat and there is limited reinforcement. At least at this point A truck is going to "accidentally" run into it and knock it ...

Kelce owns 10 luxury vehicles. I doubt he minds driving them to Leawood from anywhere in the metro. His Briarcliff house is 10 minutes from the Loew's hotel.

I doubt either of them wants to take on additional properties at this point. I think Taylor already owns five properties. Travis owns two houses in the KC metro and co-owns a house in Florida. He also rents a large apartment in One Light.
