There's a market for it (for whatever reason).
Chiefs/Royals are in MO - and they sell their stuff.

Same reason they sell Chiefs/Royals stuff - there's a market for it and they can make money doing it.

Re: Leawood city employees doing a KCMO murder total betting pool
I'm still waiting for the city of Leawood to release the pool numbers.
Just kind of curious where they were - and how much the pool was for.

Re: Walt Bodine sighting -- time has caught up with him
Personal vendetta? Oh, do tell! You know, typical love triangle. OK, sorry for the mental picture. I just have an ongoing joke with my friends because I called his show about 6 or 7 years ago to ask a question about Crabs on Broadway. Before I finished the word "Broadway" he informed me ...

Re: Walt Bodine sighting -- time has caught up with him
Even given my personal vendetta against him, I will grant that he is, indeed a KC legend. Used to love his show.he really is a kc legend, in broadcasting, and i am sure we can all agree on him.
And the Malt Bodine at Murray's is one of my favorites there.

Re: Jack Harry???
personally, and i am sure i stand alone, i think harry is up there with grigs, but that may just be me. and the fact is, he was just the first to report the real deal on holmes, about probably being done. that will make him unpopular. if there really is a lump on priest holmes spine, guess we owe h...

Re: Jack Harry???
i am not sure what he said. if he said priest holmes career may be over, he is probably right. He said much more than that. He said that Priest would retire on Thursday due to a golf ball-sized lump on his spine. He backed off that a little, saying health issues would lead to him probably not playi...

I used to wait tables/bartend for Old Chicago about 10 yrs ago - they were seriously considering that spot for quite a while. Nothing ever came of it. Only 30 taps - but another 80 in bottles. It'd be a great location for a Barley's/Yard House/Flying Saucer type 100+ tap beer bar

Re: McCoys.....
I miss Mill Creek Brewery. I miss having another brewery in Westport, but the last two years of Mill Creek were pretty bad. I never found any evidence that they ever cleaned any of their beer lines - and the inside was getting a bit on the tired side. I cannot believe nothing has gone in there sinc...

Re: Traffic light: 39th and Pennsylvania
Huh. I live right there and use that intersection all of the time. I noticed they've been doing a bunch of stuff to it - but I was too dim to notice it's a traffic light. The only time I ever had issues there was right at 5pm or so. Has that been a perceived need for a while? I really like the new o...

Re: Jack Harry???
He's hacktastic! My cousin is his new producer on the Spot, so I begrudgingly watch him. It is nice to have a 30 minute, local sports show on at 7pm. He usually has pretty good guests (I credit my cousin, not Harry). He's kind of like Fox News for me - I watch him when I want to get angry. I can usu...

Re: chicken
I'll have to try the Church's spicy. I'm intrigued. Is Opal's still open on the Boulevard? I thought it was pretty average. But, they had a lunch buffet - which wasn't too bad. If you were craving a fried chicken dinner in the middle of the day, it did the trick. I believe Thursdays are Pan Fried Ch...

My guesses would be:
Check cashing place
Celluar store
Drug store
Just a shot in the dark.
I'm going to miss Popeye's.

i do not get that swinger stuff. i mean, really, how can you do that to your spouse?? fucken weird. sounds like something ppa is into, secretly of course. And how exactly is your attitude regarding this any difference than what PPA says about homosexuality? Seems a little hypocritical to say someth...

Re: Tony Pena A Yankee
are you crazy? we could not do one new contract this season because of all the money out on santiago, anderson, sullivan, it was a joke. a lot of those contracts fucked us this year. 04 is typical of what is wrong with the organization, and us not blaming that is what is wrong with those who root f...

Re: Tony Pena A Yankee
Glad he's gone, and I wish him luck. I don't think he's a good manager - but he is a knowledgable baseball person with a positive attitude. I think he would have been a positive in any clubhouse. Just not a leader. I don't see how you can blame him for '04. I was excited about that team. Hell, I was...

Elmwood Cemetery website
Not sure if this has been posted before, but The Pitch had a little article this week about the website http://www.historickcelmwood.org/index.html . It has 100+ short bios of people buried at Elmwood Cemetery on Truman Rd. Not the most beautiful website in the world, but the guy has obviously put a...

Re: Campfire USA moving to downtown
Unfortunately, I think my office is the one moving into the Campfire building - at least it's a distinct possibility according to the KC Business Journal. I'm not looking forward to working on the plaza at all. It's closer to where I live (Valentine) - but what the hell am I going to do for lunch - ...
