Re: Regency Park wants build a new space with in Development
The Whole foods/Cinzetti's area is a seperate development. This would be a new building in addition to renovating what's already there. As for who'd want a new freestanding 5,000 sf, I'd go with the typical fast casual culprits.

FWIW, AECOM has a local office at Crown Center. They just aren't headquartered here like B&M. Beyond that, anybody can tell you that on a project like this, A&E is a tiny sliver of the budget, the whole "local" thing is just good spin by B&M backers. I'd be more than happy with...

Has there ever been any focused studying of what makes the East side so anti-transit? Is it misguided fear at "losing" resources? I understand the misguided angst in having your taxes raised, but that doesn't seem to stop the east side for voting for a multitude of other tax increases.

I haven't but they sound like top notch luxury, which is great. The exterior of Two looks plain jane utilitarian though and hopefully the next one wont as much (ideally completely different). How is Two Light utilitartian? Utilitarian would be a 4-story building with (2) 5x3' windows/unit on a flat...

When I walked by the other day, it sure looked like they're angling for one tennant. Maybe two. Surprised nobody's been announced.hartliss wrote:Do you know how many ground floor spaces will be available along Truman Rd. when it opens?

Downtown's surprising lacking in bank branches compared to the burbs. Just off the top of my head banks missing from downtown: Wells Fargo, Capitol Federal, Security Bank, 1st National, Bank of Blue Valley...you get the picture.KCPowercat wrote:I'm dumbfounded by the bank influx

Re: Ambassador Hotel (1111 Grand)
This is another in a long line of projects in our city that boggles my mind. They're running an up-scale hotel in a historic building with a handsome neoclassical facade, and they decide to plop down a thoughtless sack of shit next door, an addition that makes obvious that there was zero considerat...

Re: Ambassador Hotel (1111 Grand)
The aesthetics will only be a problem, IMO, if they use cheap windows and/or do EIFS instead of proper stone veneer. But I'm with dave, that ground floor is pathetic. At the very least, they should swap out the front row of stalls and entry drive for a small 1,000 sf retail space like 1914 Main does.

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Is it outlet pricing? No. It's a very strange set up. Limited selection on the soft goods and then the majority of the store are outlet style shoe racks. For what it's worth, the shoe style racks are the same ones I've seen at their stores in Brooklyn and Chicago. I think that's just the standard, ...
