Habitat Shoe Store, 1800 Baltimore Ave., plans to relocate to southern Johnson County this fall. The store opened in late 2005. “We hope this move will strengthen our bu...

Re: Armour Theater
Screenland has what appears to be a new website, www.screenland.com (to my knowledge).
You can now buy tickets to see Indiana Jones at the Armour Theater! It looks like they will have midnight showing next wednesday to usher in the theater.

And they've also put up a cool, old-school marquee that looks like it will light up quite nicely!

Re: Pajamas to School?
IT IS ABOUT IMPACTING THE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT WHEN THAT IS WHAT THE REASONING IS BY THE SCHOOL DISTRICT! IF THAT WASN'T THE REASON, THEY SHOULD HAVE STATED ANOTHER REASON! READ THE ARTICLE! I call BS. I work for the district as a teacher. Despite the rule you cite, students wear PJ's to school e...

Re: The backlash against McMansions
For as much trouble as KC seems to have with cashing in on the urban condo wave, I'd bet there's quite a bit of demand for dense bungalow-belt or north bronx or queens style urban single family houses. I know I would never live in a multi-family dwelling, although I'd consider a row house if there ...

It looks like we have a booking for the Midland. This is the first act I've heard confirmed for the Midland.

Re: THE RENOVATIONS
One of my favorite moments or kansas city radio in 2007. Soren Petro's rant in defense of Mike Sweeney. Despite how you feel about Sweeney or Petro, great radio. http://www.stationcaster.com/clicktrack/index.mp3?media=%2Fstations%2Fwhb%2Fmedia%2Fmpeg%2FSoren_s_Rant_about_Mike_Sweeney-1179420314.m...

Re: THE RENOVATIONS
Sweeney is one of the best guys in all of professional sports and when healthy swung a monster bat. I've never understood the hatred for Sweeney. If you think for one second that Damon wanted to stay, you're kidding yourself. Same for Beltran. Damon and Beltran are nothing more than Boras money...

Why rip Sweeney? I can understand ripping Glass, but Sweeneys only crime was that he was always hurt.

On the news last night they said the new station would play "music not heard in KC" Seriously, how many adult alternative stations do we already have? I thought they meant cool music. We actually don't have an adult alternative station that I'm aware of. The nearest comparison would be 9...

Any thoughts on LCD versus Plasma?
I wanna try and stay under $1,500
Also, I would prefer to stay away from Best Buy, Circuit City.... But, are these places my best option? Does anyone have any places to recommend?
I'll likely have it mounted above my living room mantle.

Habitat Shoes I can't recommend this place enough. Awesome and unique shoes for both men and women (from sneakers to high end dress shoes). Great selection of T's, denim, sunglasses, and bags as well, but shoes is their main thing. The place is hip and cool without the attitude. John, the guy th...
