Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Man, this is going to be fucking awesome. I can’t believe they’re, for once in this town, going for the moonshot. South Loop Cap, P&L, Royals & TMobile all right there and is gonna make a constantly active city center. And I’m sure more investment will follow this area too. This is so big, ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
My hot take…I think what took a ton of the momentum from the EV site was when they released those renderings back in August and everyone went “wait that’s…it?”. NKC rendering blew it away. The EV excitement went to pud. That was sort of the turning point for me as well. Sure they’ll claim “that’s n...

Complete cash grab and caters more to fans of other teams/Messi instead of catering to your own fans. Hate this.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I didn't say EV is far from downtown. The comments I'm referring to said they'd rather the stadium go to Johnson Country than East Village. I do live in one of these neighborhoods and I do care. If throwing event centers in the crossroads wherever without planning grinds your gears, why haven't you...

You're twisting words, no one here is trying to keep the Royals at the K. Stop bad faith acting by taking one side's argument and lumping them into the rest. Calling people ignorant because they don't agree with you just really hits home.

I'd rather keep the organically grown brewery neighborhood as it is now, growing and flourishing, rather than letting it get overrun & become Wrigleyville West. That isn't what anyone in the community is asking for.

It does say Tiffany Springs Rd & Platte Purchase, which is north of 152.
I've driven all those backroads in all seasons and all times of day. All this bland boring suburban buildout to make it more appeasing for JoCo makes me so sad.

It simply isn't worth giving up on the attempt to revitalize the East Village. I'll never support the idea for that alone.

I can't begin to tell you guys about how big of a liar Fescoe is & how he's essentially shut out by every team in town. I seriously have wondered for years how he hasn't been replaced after his awful ratings & inability to keep a co-host.

And Brightline is private & at any point can choose to increase freight on their lines over passenger travel. I think we're at a weird crossroads right now when it comes to transit because electric cars are still violent dangerous speeding machines & often heavier than gas cars. No one reall...

Also a lot easier to corral a train in, you can't just hop on any track & transfer over. Nothing like a plane freely flying in any direction.

I really think this has more to do with DC trying to go all in on getting the Commanders and straight up ignoring the arena and those teams. It almost sounds like they really weren't going to pursue this project til they basically got ghosted by DC admins.

As an alumni, I and many others would love to have a program to support & would really be a financial boon. They really need to get their name out there & sadly, sports is one of the best ways to do it. This is a major dropped ball that would help them break out from the commuter school image.

Key to success is connecting it to Union Station & Crown Center, one big family thing in the city that everyone is cool with. Wonder if they could build more pathways or a connector electric bus by the railroad tracks behind both US & PP.

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
Could have drawn Bolivia or Panama, so clearly got the best game in the group. Arrowhead should be rocking for that one. But I'll probably end up having more fun at the other game, especially if it's T&T v Peru for a better international atmosphere. I'd highly suggest going to that game to get a...

It's already a nightmare enough for the residents to park. I'm anti-car for the most part but the fact that taking street parking off 39th St would make an already awful situation worse. Going to need something like resident parking passes for street parking if they choose to do this, it's already a...
