After seeing that video on Twitter I have to wonder if there's more to the removal process than was shown? Is it just me or does dour cuts with a tile saw, four drill holes and pulling out the medallion not seem as difficult a process as it was made out to be? Maybe a lot of the medallions broke or ...

Unfortunately, security in the US is often staffed by out of shape people with hip problems, asthma or some other chronic condition that limits their physical movement. And then one of the youth's parents would sue because someone touched their kid in an attempt to break something up.
