Re: Webster House....
A wonderfull place for groups/families of varied ages. Especially women. Huge mounds of worthless crap to view and form opinions on are everywhere. Mother, daughter, college friends and grandmother can bond as they browse, bringing their well-developed bourgeois tastes to bear on items as varied ...

Re: What restaurants do you want in the P&L District?

Re: New Aldi's for Midtown KCMO!
It's actually a German company, believe it or not. They have Aldi all over Europe - look at their website if you don't believe me. Yes, it is a German company famous for having such effective cost-cutting measures that even Wal-Mart couldn't compete in their home market. Stiff competition from Ald...

Re: Bank Midwest Moves to Town Pavilliion
Man, City Center Square has really been taking some big knocks lately. They lost a couple of big government leases to crown center area and someone else important too it seems like I remember a few months back. Does anyone know how much of this building will be occupied after these moves?

Hmmmnnn.... St. Louis, KC, Manchester and Calcutta. Are we sure that some Missouri based company or organization isn't financing this World Leadership Award for urban renewal?

What happened to the downtown neighborhood association website?
Hey I was hoping to sign up for the downtown neighborhood association or at least find out when and where meetings are but have found that the site is no longer in operation (dnakcmo.org). There used to be a link on the front of this page I believe. Anyone know what's going on? Sorry if someone p...

Re: Sprint Center's necessity?
I don't think that anyone would argue that the Sprint center will not be a good thing for downtown. It will bring more people to the area and be a key ingredient along with the P&L district and residential developments to bringing more people downtown. I don't think it will be a failure even w...

Re: Willy's Thai Paradis to move
Wow, Willie's/field house (aka Frat Mouse) in KC. That place brings back (foggy) memories. I hope this one comes complete with the quarter draws, penny pitchers, bottomless cups, hordes of underage sorostitutes and blow-slinging bartenders that the CoMo location has or used to have. Maybe I'll ge...

Re: All these new condos...isn't anybody developing affordable apartments?
I was just looking at the professional building online (linked through the Star's apartments section) and those deals are amazing; 1600 sq foot two bedrooms for 600 a month. Anyone who can meet the income restrictions should jump on that place.

Re: All these new condos...isn't anybody developing affordable apartments?
Quality Hill, though mostly full right now I believe, has income controlled properties for those making less than $28,750ish at around 450 a month for a one bedroom. Spacious two bedrooms such as my own go for 800 or so without restrictions. There are many other buildings around that are independe...
