Re: Bird Scooters Have Landed

I'm beginning to wonder what percentage of these things get used legally. I would say for every legal operation I see probably five illegal operations on average. Today... In the time I've been back downtown/crossroads from work day. I've seen... Group of four riding on sidewalk down SWB between Bro...

Re: OFFICIAL: Penn Valley Park (Ideas+redeveloment)

Why does the area under the control tower at KCI (a place where no human hangs out) appear more scenic and inviting than most parts of Penn Valley Park? Because FAA regulations prohibit homeless people from living in the bushes near the tower? That being said, as long as the city/parks dept/police ...

Re: Google Maps just did another satellite view update for KC

Desktop does show it too, but you have to disable 3D (which they recently changed to the "Globe" icon in the settings.) The 3D imagery is so old it shows the earliest stages of One Light. Thanks for the tip on disabling stupid 3d mode, couldn't find where they moved the setting to on desk...

Sort of offtopic of the thread but, I feel confident biking down Grand and Main, but prefer to use Walnut.

Re: Downtown needs larger police presence

There was a cop hanging around the Union Station streetcar stop on July 4 in the morning. I gathered she'd gotten off the streetcar and was perhaps hanging on the platform waiting for the next one. That would be off-duty PD. Is this some sort of official streetcar thing? Last night I noticed that t...

Re: Bike Lanes

I've been down Armour a couple of times since last week and noticed the parked cars mostly within the lines. A few hanging over but not totally obstructing. I'm surprised everyone has done so well considering the lack of signage.

Re: Misc Crossroads News

I catch the bus at 19th and Grand in the mornings. There's been a lot of activity in the 1834 Grand/Royal Squirrel location in the last few weeks.
Workers with hard hats and headlamps inside in the mornings. Looks to be mostly empty inside when I peeked inside the other day.
