Re: Four Light
Maybe they are switching sites to keep from having too much construction on Truman, if they will keep the entrance ramp. They could just be waiting for the South Loop Cap to be finished to break ground on what has been said to be the tallest and most grand of the light towers. I'm still crossing my ...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Someone in Dallas one time told me they used the Plaza in KC as a model when designing that shopping center I can buy it! Hancock Park and Beverly Hills here in LA were based on the Plaza, and the neighborhoods to the South. it honestly was the first of it's kind when it came to suburban style-livi...

Re: Martini Corner near 31st/Gilham
I have to admit that I haven't been the new Record Bar location (I know, it's not really "new") but I wonder if this would be a better location that would allow larger shows, perhaps a partnership with the new developer? Mammoth books Crossroads KC and the Granada in LFK... they will book...

the "it's a bus we can get white people to ride" had me weak ctfu. highkey accurate tho. in all seriousness i say you've gotta solid idea and should totally consider formatting in a more professional mannerism and make the push. it's something that could help the city when 2026 hits, obvi...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
While I was stationed in Texas I made an excursion to the Highland Park Village in the Dallas area. It was very much reminiscent of the Plaza, and I found it to be a good comparison for stores as well. One thing I thoroughly enjoyed was the Berreta Gallery. Being one of only two in the nation, and ...

Re: Misc Crossroads News
Perfect scale for East Crossroads. 39 for sale units on a tucked in back street that has been surface parking for years. Gotta luv it! Does anyone have any update on the 18th and Washington townhomes? Ig it's tech. Westside North but the 35 feels more like a cutoff to a neighborhood than Broadway th...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I imagine they would add another game to the reg. szn and push the super bowl back 1-2 weeks which would increase likelyhood of decent weather to play in.

Imagine KC hosting a super bowl and the Chiefs actually play in the big game that year.
The city would shatter all previous records lol

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
It seems appropriate for this board but it’s interesting to see how quickly it turns into a place to just complain about inner city black residents. Yeah, it's sad how convos like this being on the internet can double as a place for some people to express their nasty prejudices without fear of cons...

General Kansas City is the forum room more appropriate for overall crime issues in Kansas City. The homicide rate and problems with kids on the Plaza ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
KC will get a deal on the private-public ratio. Chiefs will use their still-potential dynasty status to revamp that rundown parking lot into an exclusive Chiefs Kingdom Ent. District. Arrowhead will see renovations but Clark Hunt will keep the OG stadium to commemorate Lamar and Norma's (RIP) luv fo...

Alright y'all. I finished my proposal with my fantastic MS Paint skills. I really should learn how to use photoshop or something... But I really think we could do something similar to the Minneapolis Orange line for $150 million or so (which is what their line also cost) as I did some rough estimat...

Are we really going to start posting sensationalized local news, eh? Sensationalized? Jesus Christ this town really has its head up its ass when it comes to the crime being a huge issue. Thank you! We are on pace to break our record for homicides and be in the top 5 for per capita killings AGAIN, a...

Re: 10th and Main Southwest Corner (former transit center)
27th and Indiana has two vacant corners ready for housing and a neighborhood that would welcome the affordable units, especially if it entices demand for better stores at the remaining structures. 27th and Cleveland could handle anywhere from 150-300 units easy too. Sounds like a good tradeoff.

spends 4.5 m on studies instead of a increasing frequencies then fights density that would justify the investment with increased ridership lmao The city took all of the temporary money that could have been used for increasing frequency and spent it on streetlights. These new grants are for planning...
