Re: Three Light
If only it was twice as tall and less "blocky." If only this was Chicago...if only. That's a silly exaggeration. A city doesn't have to be "Chicago" size, stature or economy to build a 30-40 floor apartment building. The "blockyness" and color of Two Light from the dis...

Re: Three Light
The more I look at Two Light the uglier it becomes.
From a distance it just doesn't fit in the skyline.
The white lines separating the floors are as ugly as anything I've ever seen on a tall building.

Re: Two Light - 14th & Grand
The final product of the lettering is tacky.
Font is too bold making it appear blocky - not attractive.
Viewing from the south the letters are so large it makes the building look shorter and blockier.

I like the building but I'm afraid they are going to mess up the rehab by not interacting with the street efficiently.

Re: New Broadway Bridge
1. Doubling the lanes is literally impossible. No, it's literally not impossible. 1) Look at a satellite image after the bridge. 2 more lanes can be added by encroaching into the Airport. R. Gebaur Rd, the frontage to Wheeler has virtually NO traffic on it at all. A flyover would be required betwee...

Re: New Broadway Bridge
I agree, we should not be demolishing this bridge unless we are going to go all in on making 169 a much larger road. We should be building a NEW bridge and doubling 169's lanes. We built a new 670 viaduct to handle a tiny amount of traffic - sort of a waste. However if the West Bottoms ever took off...

Re: Should Jackson Co. relocate the Correctional Facility?
1) Bring back the death penalty for rape, child molestation, first degree and anyone with 3+ felonies. 2) Create dirt cheap homeless camps like Sheriff Arpaio had in AZ to get dopers, drunks and homeless off of the street. That would save trillions over years. Use the saved $$ to make a real differe...

Re: Amazon searching for second HQ
The north loop - imagine if we had the foresight and energy to have eliminated that monstrosity 5 years ago. Amazon could easily build a dense urban campus complex in the 30-35 acres it would free up. The East Village may be better for KC. There is still plenty of infill lots available to the east a...

Re: Amazon searching for second HQ
The entire north loop of I-70 should be given to them and once built the city can call 6th street to 8th street "Amazonia." Or what about that huge parcel in the east Crossroads just south of Hospital Hill? Instant game-changer for KC, it would shock the world. But KC could easily attract ...
