What's the deal with Waldo?
Waldo is a pretty nice little area, very convenient for those that live near or around it. Has some great restaraunts, Waldo Pizza, Tanners, Taj Mahal, Cafe Apanaire (French bakery), 75th Street Brewery, McLains bakery (incredible chocolate icing cookies). A nice neighborhood feel, kiind of an exten...

Best sledding hills???
Last saturday I went sledding with a couple friends in North Terrace Park, actually the hill just to the west of the Kansas City Museum that drops down into Cliff Drive. Not a bad spot at all, just the right amount of people (not so many that it becomes irritating, not too few that you're missing th...

Broadway Streetscape
Hey, this is all very dissapointing to hear. Out of curiosity, is there any kind of neighborhood association in the areas surrounding Broadway? It's funny that police in Mission Hills and Fairway have the time and resources to sit and lurk amongst the Kansas shadows and follow me all the way back to...

I agree with alot of what FangKC is saying, but my big question is where is an 18th and Vine Jazz F...

A "real" science museum at Union Station
haha nope. Alexi Panethiere Kontras is the name, Panethiere being the last name of my grandfather, who in fact lived in Quality Hill many years back (random fact). The only funny thing about my being Greek is the amount of food I feast down at the greek festival every year

A "real" science museum at Union Station
Hi everyone, I just stumbled across this website while doing my usual KC research type things online and it seems to be a really great place to discuss all things Kansas City, so I'm excited to have found it. Anyway just wanted to weigh in with my two cents on the Science City issue. Over thanksgivi...
