Re: THE RENOVATIONS
I went to a Wizards soccer game Saturday. My first time at Arrowhead in several years. I didn't realize what a dump that place is. These "renovations" as they are calling them, better be fucking RED HOT! And what is the deal with concrete barricades surrounding the stadiums? It looks like...

Re: THE RENOVATIONS
i knew something was wrong.the chiefs are being way to quiet about the renovations .i still think the chiefs are negotiating for more money.IMO I'm still waiting for the naming rights to be sold.ie exxon stadium at arrowhead point.

Re: Making Kansas City a State
i know that state legislators would never allow this to happen because several years ago northern California attempted to split away from so.cal with the new capitol either being Santa Rosa, redding,or Chico.they even hinted around at naming the new state "Jefferson".the people in this new ...

Re: Roofing Kaufman and Arowhead stadium
i thought the rolling roof idea was stupid ,and a gimmick also i believe one,or two things were going to happen with the roof tax money.one they were going to say "after careful consideration we have decided that the rolling roof concept is still not practical.there for we are going to raze arr...

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail
i have seen diffrent ideas, but the best idea i think would be to tunnel underneath,or cut and cover through downtown.then everywhere else have the tracks at street level.

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail
i don't know about now ,but when i flew into san diego a few years back i had to take a bus to c street to catch the trolley to east county.as at that time they did not have their rail system going to the airport.which for the most part is already downtown. i still think the line in k.c.should exten...

Re: OFFICIAL - Arena construction
Actually, turning it into a video billboard (think Times Square) would also generate income for them. yes exactly use all four sides of this building to promote the arena.use a video board to promote events at the arena dates/times,etc.then mix in some giant muirals of logos, superstars, and local te...

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail
i just think there needs to be a published study to back taking the line all the way to the airport.the traffic into, and out of the airport may not suggest taking the line that far north.and i don't think you could compare that with stl because their airport is larger than kci.

Re: Why do KDOT and MoDOT both suck?
Why should KCMO have to pay taxes into MDOT but be forced to form their own DOT? KCMO is part of Missouri, they should demand accountability from MDOT. I don't see how having MORE government entities saves anyone money. i think the five county area should say the hell with all of you (mo,kan)and be...

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail
how many people would take this rail line to the airport?how about cutting the line off at barry rd.and zona rosa.head south over the proposed mo.river bridge, down grand to the arena, pnl.then south to crown center, union station, and liberty memorial.continue south to westport, and onto the plaza, and u...

Re: Interstate connecting Topeka, Tulsa to Houston
i agree with highlander on that.but i think it was interstate 435 that had the biggest influence on the population shifting away from the urban core.and the timeline that highlander was talking about is along time, but look how long it's going to take to fix interstate 70 across the state of mo.and t...

Re: Interstate connecting Topeka, Tulsa to Houston
us71 will be the route used to new orleans, but lots of diffrent things have to happen before i-49 is brought up this way.one thing is that parts of us71 is not interstate grade.another is deciding where i-29 and i-49 meet.plus the city goofed up when buiding bruce r. watkins,so that has to be fixed....

i have heard of alot of interstate highway plans.and yes i have heard about this one.but i think it would continue on to linclon, neb.or omaha.i don't think this idea is dead, but i would not expect to see it anytime soon.the ones that will happen sooner will be the k.c.to n.o.,and the avenue of the s...

Re: Clay Chastain coming back with light rail
when i lived in san diego 10 years ago, i use to always use the trolley system there, and it was very nice. the ride was smooth, fast, and minnimal stops.also very cheap.san diego in many ways is diffrent from k.c.,but one thing that is alike is the sprawl.so i believe if light rail works there than i...

Re: Developer proposes twin condo towers on Grand (Wellington Place)
i think that this project has been built in another city.i think i have seen these buildings on a kia commercial.if these are the same buildings, then this will be a real nice addition to the skyline.i'm just not really sure if they are the same.
