Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Yeah I think you've got that backwards How? You think KC voters will sit there really let the Royals go after they just lost the Chiefs? No way I don't think the Chiefs are leaving ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ It seems to me that 50%+ of the 'No' vote was literally just people thinking "there's no way they're go...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I just heard from two good sources of mine (who are tied to Kansas matters) that the Chiefs are looking to ink a deal in Kansas. At the Legends complex. My guess? This is what Chiefs wanted all along, hence the half-ass plan they put out, probably hoping it would fail and get them an excuse to get ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
John Sherman needs to explain what happened to the East Village site and why it's not on the table. And I'm saying that as someone who thinks the Crossroads site is leagues better than EV. But the last-minute (in relative terms) switch rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, and he needs to be clear ...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I’m really starting to wonder if the Chiefs flopped this all along as their excuse to get to Kansas and get a new modern stadium setup. Because if you look at it, everything they did the whole time made zero sense.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I think the best path forward here is the Chiefs leave for Kansas (and get a real stadium) and them leaving the state scares the shit out of Missouri voters enough to vote the Royals to stay and go downtown finally.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Does he realize how badly they fucked this up and understand what he needs to do to win back support from people, though? No. Like I said the whole Royals outreach to the community was absolutely out of touch This result was so lopsided I'm not sure even a good campaign could've won it. Find a way ...

Also....BLAME THE CHIEFS. They're the ones with all the pull in this town and did NOTHING to win this thing. Nothing but a fucking grass field.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
From Q: "The people of Kansas City and Jackson County love the Chiefs and the Royals. Today, they rejected plans and processes they found inadequate." Can't say I disagree. Not even sure EV would pass now without a major flip of the script, but think it would have if they had stuck with i...

They have to find a way to do this without a vote. This city is so so fucked if this doesn't happen.

I knew comping it to Oakland was gonna drive ppl up a wall lol. Sorry, it's one of those things where only KC people see it that way. Nobody else does.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Do you think the vote is going to fail? I think it will pass. And I want it to pass so that we get the important part here (the Royals going downtown). But I just can't get over how pathetic than Chiefs proposal was. It's just downright embarrassing. Idc what DCole says, that proposal is shitty for...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Tbh that Chiefs proposal is so shitty and disappointing that I honestly think it would be better for them to go Kansas and actually get a real stadium setup that they deserve. Maybe that's a silver lining. Do you think the vote is going to fail? I think it will pass. And I want it to pass so that w...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
You people think too much about online comment sections and less about the actual data & history of these votes which is that pass literally 98% of the time anywhere in the country. That's a much much better indicator. So yeah, it'll prob pass, and yes I will be dunking all over Grid and co. ton...

Can’t wait to blast you later tonight after the vote!DMNBT_RCJH wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 7:16 am This is going to be a snoozer. Biggest question will be whether the “Yes’s” can get to 35%. It won’t be close, unfortunately.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I know we all pretty much know this by now, but people are *still* talking about how disappointed they are with the Chiefs plans. I hear it or read about the disappointment every few days. Nobody seems to understand why the back to back Super Bowl Chiefs are getting a grass field when the Titans, Bi...
