I just ate at an existing Picklemans what for getting a sense of the place. I would place it below Planet Sub and inline with or below Subway.

Re: Bringing Conventions to Kansas City

I was at Power and Light district for dinner and a certain Olympic Gold medalist rolled up(really cool). After dinner, I saw another high profile Olympian at the P&L Streetcar stop. This lead to some Googling and evidently we are hosting the US Gymnastics Championship. Does anyone know if this a...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

September 15th is the last bookable date. Searches for dates after that cause an error. I think this confirms it. No, they only fly in the summer and cease trips in late fall until the new season. You can book flights for next June if you want. I think this is a bad rumor that should be taken down....

5. WW1 Museum to be handed over to the Smithsonian and US NPS. Groups who have the funds to better maintain and expand the museum. Yes! It's amazing what they did with the gateway arch in STL. That level of ambition and design is something the WWI Museum is desperately in need of. Before https://ww...

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar

With the ratings on the next rail study, which east/west route is the primary route to be implemented following the completion of the Main St extension? You’d probably need a city/county/metro wide transit program to fund those. They voted no against the previous plan so it’s better to put efforts ...

Great ideas so far. Thanks. We're definitely coming and in all likelihood this fall. I keep seeing Spirit flights for about $25 each way. I grew up in Omaha so I've been to KC a lot. I don't need to do a whole tourist thing as this trip is more to see the Liberty Memorial than the whole town. I'm t...

Despite what KCStar reported earlier today, The International Champions Cup sold out tonight. I would say that at least 15% of the seats in my area were double booked on top of that. Leaving the stadium, I heard multiple groups complain about being double booked. https://www.kansascity.com/sports/ml...

I don’t think their label is anything other than the numbers in the master plan. Only the colored in parcels are being looked at for now.

Developer Craig Slawson is proposing a 64,000 square-foot office building that would occupy what’s now a parking lot at Third and Delaware. He is in discussions with two potential tenants, one from out-of-state that would employ 600 to 100 people. https://cityscenekc.com/port-kc-endorses-downtown-o...

Not necessarily a bad thing. It makes sense considering the ongoing change of power at city hall.
