Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
You people think too much about online comment sections and less about the actual data & history of these votes which is that pass literally 98% of the time anywhere in the country. That's a much much better indicator. So yeah, it'll prob pass, and yes I will be dunking all over Grid and co. ton...

Can’t wait to blast you later tonight after the vote!DMNBT_RCJH wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 7:16 am This is going to be a snoozer. Biggest question will be whether the “Yes’s” can get to 35%. It won’t be close, unfortunately.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I know we all pretty much know this by now, but people are *still* talking about how disappointed they are with the Chiefs plans. I hear it or read about the disappointment every few days. Nobody seems to understand why the back to back Super Bowl Chiefs are getting a grass field when the Titans, Bi...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
It's a shame some of you are getting paid 0 to be a Royals mouthpiece. Sly James is getting 700k for it Yeah. Divide that by ten. He’s getting 70k and my payment is watching our city grow. Except the core isn't growing The core actually grew, according to the 2020 census, for the first time since 1...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
If it’s truly about 50/50 as the polls suggest, then keeping Oak open could be just enough to get this vote over the line. That’s probably why they did it.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
It really does feel like overall the Chiefs never really gave a shit whether this happens or not, and it’s really just been about the Royals only the whole time.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
Has anyone seen polling on this location? Like I said I had saw unreleased polling that the East Village vote would have failed. Curious what this one looks like? I haven’t seen the polling data myself but have been told they feel very positive they’ll get a winning (yes) vote right now. Just saw t...

If this thing fails it’s gonna because the Chiefs flopped. That’s who we were counting on to carry this.

and just a sense of depressing, doomer energy expressed on this forum and the Kansas City Reddit It's one guy in particular, who then galvanizes others to go along with him. I've ranted against it for years for how pervasive and annoying it is to deal with on this forum. The average normal person y...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I was a strong Yes on the April vote and have spent considerable time on the Waldo Neighborhood page as to why, all related to the Royals announcement. Now I’m not sure. The Chiefs (Hunt) have really deflated my expectations for a “re-envisioned Arrowhead”. Clark Hunt has come off like a cheap ass ...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
We would be 100x better off taking that $800 mil for the Chiefs and just building the streetcar connection from Midtown to Arrowhead.
That would ironically look better than the nothingness in these renderings too.

You know the most efficient way to pass this vote would literally just be for the Chiefs to say "we're leaving if this fails"

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
What's ironic with these dipshit voters is the Chiefs project is actually the one that is so much more of a cash grab for themselves. The Royals project atleast adds to the city and will benefit people. The Chiefs are just sucking out money for themselves with more suites and adding literally nothin...

Re: New Chiefs Stadium
This is the first time I've started to actually be concerned this vote might fail.
This entire vote is basically Royals only. I don't even know what you could market for the Chiefs...the new suites? Wow.
