The ACLU
Agree and disagree. I think it is perfectly acceptable to think the ACLU is off their rocker on specific issues. However, as a 15 year member, I also believe it is completely unamerican to hate the ACLU for their overall mission. I personally see the only reason to oppose the ACLU to be some unex...

Actually they say "appropriate attire must be worn." That language would be illegal.

Rosemary Salerno (ZR) 587-8180 Glenn Stephenson (Highwoods-Plaza) 561-3456 Ok, I was thinking they meant only "new" developments...from here on out basically...since the P&L is still, and going to recieve more taxpayer subsiderys. Maybe we should contact ZR management, and others, and...

Re: Poll: Power & Light District Dress Code
Actually, based on the proposed ordinance language Crown Center, Zona Rosa, Plaza, Briarcliff et cetera all would have to comply. The new Bannister redevelopment as well. Actually "The American" is not of the city's ordinance as it applies only to "taxpayer-subsidized developments&q...

P&L district, Cordish, Retail discussion (from 14th/Main thread)
So which developer was jumping at the prospect of investing in downtown?
LenexatoKCMO wrote: No - I am saying the contract should have been given to a developer that actually had the retail juice to pull of what was promissed - because clearly Cordish didn't and was all talk.

P&L district, Cordish, Retail discussion (from 14th/Main thread)
There is a little something in real estate called co-tenancy. This is when a business agrees to locate in a place and will announce/open when other specific businesses are signed adjacent. This may very well be why there haven't been more announcements. Also, is any development in North America co...

No, this was announced last week. Are these the announcements that KCTigerfan was speaking of? Hope not because I heard about Kobe's a while back. I think only the coffee house is news to me. I kind of wonder at what point does the P&L District reach saturation in terms of entertainment venu...

Fran's is great. They will be a welcome addition down here. Savvy will also have some great interior design and very quality coffee and drinks. I just wet myself! I've been to Fran's and this is more exciting to me than landing an NHL franchise. (OK, ok, no high-sticking!) Perfect addition to t...

It was a great addition to dinner last night at the American. Sitting there enjoying Debbie's incredible creations and the entire sky lights up for a while with fireworks. I tried to claim that I arranged it for dinner.

Re: AMC coming to Empire, Midland to be restored...
Actually, it never did. It was designed that way and then while under construction they poured floors in it for extra leasable office space. I am happy to say that they have been removed in keeping with the architects original intent. It how has a large volume with a modern sculptural element han...

Will start early am and continue most of the day. It is flying in three pieces.
The theater will open in a few weeks guaranteed. It is all on AMC at this point for their final fixturing and equipment tests.
