Tough loss tonight against Baltimore.  Duffy pitched a good game, but Soria blows the save in the 9th.

I love Joakim, but I'm really concerned that a.) he's not healthy and b.) we missed our opportunity to get max value in a trade for Soria.

Well, the team is quickly crashing back to earth.  0-4 on this roadtrip.  Hochevar has allowed 8 HRs already this year.  And the weather isn't even warm yet.

Soren's show is getting tougher to listen to on 810.  Before the Greinke trade, he lobbying for Zack to get traded and that both parties needed to move their separate ways.  Now he's basically back tracking and saying that the team didn't need to get rid of Zack and that Billy Butler is out of line ...

A little off topic but did anyone hear Soren's show yesterday.  It was Frank Boal's segment.  Geez, talk about smacking Denny Matthews around.  Give the guy a break!  I do agree that the radio side is not as advanced as the TV side for the Royals, but bad mouthing Denny like that just made me upset.

The rotation still scares me.  Hoch had a fine game, but gave up 3 bombs in spacious Comerica.

Can't say there were more than 5,000 at Sprint Center.  The crowd was still loud, but alot of empty seats in certain areas.  Obviously a still relatively foreign sport + gas prices + a 0-3 record are all factors.

Royals lose game 1 in the Detroit series, 5-2.  The good news is Alex Gordon and Billy Butler are still hitting well.  The bad news...Kyle Davies is still Kyle Davies.  3 2/3 innings, 5 ER and 5 walks.
