Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Something to monitor, this is from the station manager at MCI for UAL: https://twitter.com/mitchelldonise/status/1667349151070208001?s=61&t=x6MyJsefqV5H_GE3Wh2qhw Not sure what else they could add here. The rumored Maintenance base is my hope. Would be great to get jobs and see some widebodies....

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

I think that moat airports want to see the airlines get completely back on track, with pilot and employee shortages and equipment shortages, it could take a couple years to rebound. Getting TATL may take some time as well, especially when airlines are strapped and cannot add additional frequencies ...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Air Traffic up 19% in April YOY. STL up just 6%. KCI can pass STL in 3 years however unlikely to keep current growth. STL the bigger and more established hub. KC is just getting back up to speed. Good to see a great month but it might be a little getting ahead of ourselves. For perspective. Looks l...

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

Oakland is old and outdated. Reminds me of terminal 1 in STL. I think I read OAK is looking at building a new terminal also.

As Dave says, LAS depends what terminal you are in the southwest one isn’t very nice but one of the newer ones I really liked. It had an interesting 2 or 3 story atrium.

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

Allegiant adding flight to Vegas for chiefs/Vegas game. Those games might be moved due to flex scheduling, will they allow cancellations or rescheduling? That game should not move since it's already a prime afternoon game at 325 game. I thought only the 12 games could be moved since the 325 ones ar...

Not really a surprise but just noting it. Portland for Alaska will suspend for the season Oct 1.

It had been scheduled to suspend after New Years. I can’t remember when it did las year but October sounds about right.

Air Canada updated their schedule.

Toronto is suspended starting Oct 29 until at least April.

Edit: it still does start up for the summer next month though.

Word on Airliners.net is that Indianapolis is no longer being considered by BA since Cincinnati was added. Too close to existing BA stations, too small of a catchment region and a shortage of suitable aircraft. However, the state is increasing the incentives slush fund by an additional $5 million. ...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

AA/JetBlue northeast alliance has been shot down by a judge. Will be curious what the means for the JetBlue flights since they basically were announced because of the agreement. Now JetBlue and AA can’t feed each other passengers anymore on those routes. I'd love to know the stats of B6 passengers ...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

The Flight Schedule Adjustments thread continues to be, and always will be, by far the most depressing thread on this site. Jfc. Adjustments usually seem to go down because the big 3 over schedule. Sometimes they just get cut back to what they were the year before. Just have to take it with a grain...

AA reducing N/S from MCI-LGA to 1/day (from 2) starting in August. In other news, JetBlue loads for Feb are out (granted a weak travel month) MCI-BOS: 47% MCI-JFK: 48% Ouch. The 1/day to LGA for AA is just a continuation of the current. Its 1x a day now. Starting mid August they cut the Saturday fl...

Re: KCI Flight Schedule Adjustments

That’s interesting. I can’t imagine the price difference was enough to justify the three hour drive but who knows. Either way that’s an interesting story, thanks for sharing That is interesting as well. Since they are going to have to get a connection out of KCI to a larger hub anyways, I'm not sur...

Looks like Alaska backed off Portland again for winter. It is normal but was hoping it would stick around year round. Oct/nov go to 4 days a week. After the holidays it goes away until mid March.

I really hope this route sticks around. Fares are so cheap to Boston right now 49-69 one way basically and this route has to be a big reason why
If prices stay in that range it won't stick around.
