Re: OFFICIAL - Arena construction

Re: New Coaster coming to WOF

amen to that. all the crap cedar fair rips out ( zambezi, orient, cotton blossom, pandemonioum ) were all crap. i loved the zinger, rode it all through the 80's, but it was shot. and as far as everyone ripping that they dont do any good for the park, well, hunt midwest, according to their public fin...

Re: Various restaurants worried about P&L

lets hope so. perhaps a better comedy club downtown versus stanfords. i think this may make downtown a bigger bar district, which is cool. but, as most of you know, downtown presently has more bars than westport!!

Re: Things you do in your free time.

when i lived on quality hill, i used to walk down the 12th street bridge, and hang around the west bottoms, there are some that will argue it is unsafe, however, as someone who went down there all the time, i can assure you there really isnt even anyone down there, great little hole in the wall cafe...

Re: Crown Center Master Plan

not sure how inteligent it would be to try and force a large condo project since downtown is already booming with that, and the p&l just may satturate whats left. but i am sure they are going to build 3 more ugly buildings there. yuk.

Re: Various restaurants worried about P&L

me and mine still view westport as a great bar district. not as good as the inner harbour or the quarter, but a great one. could be done better. there is only one plaza, this is true. yes, bringing all the national chains to downtown will be great, i agree. at the expense of the national chains pres...

yeah, they voted for it about as much as i did from new york. dont kid yourself, look at the demographic of that vote, same as the power and light vote of the mid 90's, apathetic voter turnout, and the majority of it was kcmo residents. dont fool yourself. thank god they did turn out to vote though!!

Re: Death of a Morgue

as we move forward with our new downtown, let all these haunted houses go to the bottoms. good neighborhood for them too. if you go down there, the owners of the 3 down there have done semi decent job of taking buildings that are only open a few months out of the year, and made them somewhat decent ...
