Re: Capping the Loop
I hope they take a good look at how Cincinnati activates most of the parks they have downtown- by putting a bar in each of them and allowing you to drink in a section of the park. There are at least two of those that I have been to, and are quite busy even in the early afternoon weekday. They also ha...

Cincy just mandated that all scooter companies can only operate between 6AM-6PM. It's already been much more tolerable walking around at 6:15

Re: Bike Lanes
Attended the first of two virtual meetings discussing the 1 & 5 year bike plans. Lots of good commentary and a promising expansion to what we have now. Just this year we can (hopefully) look forward to the following in the DT area: - Cycle track extended up Oak I believe to 12th St (Future cycle...

Re: Light Rail Systems And Routes In Other Cities
I've been living/working in Cincinnati for a few weeks and cannot say enough how lucky we are compared to here. Downsides include: ~20 minute headways. While the route generally works for the streets here, the downside is it shifts from lane to lane on the same street so it is CONSTANTLY waiting sig...

Re: Western Auto Lofts
Always do your research before purchasing! I'm lucky/fortunate to live in a building with a very healthy HOA with low fees - especially in comparison with the already high as hell fees at Western Auto.

Re: Generic ongoing KCATA thread
I've been riding the 229 a few times in the last month and I thought I remember seeing something that to make up for the reduced schedules, the buses would be the larger length- is that still the plan? Every time I've been on it/seen it lately it's been a shorter bus and from experience, completely ...

Re: Plaza City Club Apartments
That sounds disgusting. I checked their website the shower still looks outdated and if you scroll to the bottom they have something listed as "sexy bathrooms" which is odd. That's a thing they do company-wide. I'm staying at a property in Chicago and my "sexy" bathroom has tan w...

Re: Amenities missing from downtown
I don't recall seeing large carts at Chicago Loop Target and I don't think the small ones can be removed from store. Urban Targets tend to be smaller stores expecting smaller amount of per visit shopping with carry out - typically no large items sold. But you can bring your own collapsible cart too...

Re: Amenities missing from downtown
As someone who's been living in the Chicago loop for the past 6 months I've visited just about every urban target they have here. One would definitely work in KC- I believe it would do very well on the ground floor of the 12th/Grand tower (if ever built),Truman/Main development/one of the parking lo...

Yep. My parents have property at the small lake up there and after building a home (thankfully lifted above flood stage) around 4 years ago have had it flood twice- this last time for almost 6+ months.
