Re: Burger Place with thin patties?

Harold's Good Food on Admiral.  Probably my favorite in town.  They are nice and thin.  I know exactly what you are talking about with thick patties, I prefer two smaller patties over one large patty any day.

I think it was made for the dieters.  You won't eat much, the little you do eat passes quickly.

Re: ChefBurger

Went there tonight and had the BLFGT which was excellent.  GF had the chicken and mushroom burger which was decent.  The fries were ok, nothing special.  She also had a wedge salad that she liked a lot.  I also got a cup of the soup of the day, which was bacon cheeseburger.  It was by far the nastie...

Re: Gordon Biersch

Ate here tonight.  Had the goat cheese ravioli, the gf had a crab cake sandwich.  The ravioli was decent, good but didn't stand out.  The crab cake was better but not great.  The best part of the meal was the fries.  Tried two of the beers, the Czech ok but I thought the maerzten(sp?) was excellent....

What did you think of the standalone unit at the Popcorn lofts?  I liked that place when I looked at it.

That was really Rod Stewart?  I thought it was a guy with Rod Stewart's hair.  I had a great time there last night, of course $20 all you can drink had a lot to do with it.  I must be getting too old because that place was way too loud.

Re: Shooting at Brookside Price Chopper

Oh, one more.  We had a lady at Leawood that tried to cash a fake check.  She gave me her id and it was a non-driver license from Kansas.  Her name - Chekcashia Wright.  And she had a fake ink-jet check.  The cops couldn't trace it and the address was fake.  Yet it was a real KS id.  Someone at the...

Re: Pendleton Heights rocks!

I was in 210 Olive St on Friday with the guy who has the contract on it.  I didn't see any evidence of a plumbing problem.  Pipes seemed to be all there and no signs of water damage that I saw, but it was getting dark.  Looks like it was used as a duplex or possibly a triplex.  The floorplan is very...

Aren't there any better locations for this?  It seems to me that BB stayed in business as long as it did despite its bad location because it was unique.  This new place doesn't sound like anything special.  Why put it there?

Re: Sarah's on Grand

I had lunch at Sarah's on Friday and it was very good.  The soup of the day was some kind of squash bisque or something like that and it was awesome.  I had the BLT w/guacamole and chips which was good.  I liked the chips a lot.  The guacamole on the BLT was not the best but I am really picky about ...

Whoa, I didn't say I had a bad time, far from it, I just wouldn't recommend drinking it without doing to properly.  Your method sounds much, much better.

Re: absinthe.

I have had absinthe on several different occasions.  Most recently a homemade batch at Bonnaroo this year.  While a good time, I do not recommend homemade absinthe unless you are the type that can drink everclear straight.  I have never had it any other way but straight up and it is pretty nasty stu...

I laughed at that article when I first read it.  Now it is downright hilarious.  The average value in that neighborhood was $73460?  Yeah right.

$100,000.  1578 Sq Ft.  3 bed, could be 4 but one room doesn't have a closet and is a bit too small to add one, would make a great office.  1.5 bathrooms.  New windows, carpet, tile, appliances, furnace, air conditioner, plumbing.  Large 13 x 26 one car attached garage with opener.  Deck.  Fully fen...

Re: Distinctive and For Sale in KC

I think most people would like to know the same thing, they seldom seem to make sense.  I honestly don't know much about how counties figure these things.  From what I understand some counties use mass appraisals and some do appraisals that are closer to what most residential appraisers do.  I am no...

Re: Distinctive and For Sale in KC

It is a typo, the taxes are exactly half that.  The taxes in Wyandotte are the highest in the metro and they also have a habit of over appraising houses.  The county has the total appraised value of 1900 Washington at $129800.  Sometimes I think that the appraisers that work for Wyandotte County get...
