Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 4
Many gifts were given to President Clinton during his administration. A number of them were on display in his library. A sign explained the practice very well: “STATE GIFTS—No state visit is complete without an exchange of gifts. These gestures of diplomacy and goodwill date back to the earliest day...

I like the masks, too, Fang. And they are made out of trash! Now to see what else we can find in the Clinton Library. I bet he rode in this vehicle. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49856731688_240789a72c_c.jpg View from one window. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49857577347_fb973246dd_c.jpg...

It is the next day (8/2/19), and we have arrived in Little Rock, AR. Where might we be? The trees are nice. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49823281038_8826d2c898_c.jpg Hm. Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 4
My Mac laptop lost its mind, presenting me with an abundance of crazy, random, blinking lines. I spent too much time trying to fix it myself because I’m stupid. Then I took it to the only Mac service provider within a hundred miles. Fortunately, it was rather close to where I live. I lost some email...

Re: Arkansas 20192019 Part 4
Thank you, Fang. It is my son who plans these trips. I just take pictures. I could figure from my notes on that day and a map to say that these pictures were taken in the Blanchard Springs area, which is in the upper middle part of the state. I did a little research (very little) and found this info...

Arkansas 2019 Part 4
Let’s continue the trip to Arkansas while we are holed up inside. We’ve already seen these falls from a distance. This is a close-up, with the sun’s effort to get in the way. I like his spots. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49740199246_346a491d14_c.jpg Here is another place with falls. Pretty p...

If businesses of all sizes suffer, all the people who work for them will, too. So then will tax money, which is all the governments have to help families and individuals who have lost income.

All this reminds me of the 1951 movie, The Day the Earth Stood Still. If you are stuck at home and have never seen this movie, you might want to check it out. It is a classic. Many of my peers still remember the three alien words that must be uttered to avoid being zapped.

Re: Arkansas 2019 Part 3
My mother did the same thing, FangKC. She picked up her rather large, lacy-looking rocks 120 miles south of St. Louis, where her parents owned many acres, which they worked. She had four brothers and four sisters. All of the resulting relatives referred to it as "The Farm." Back to Arkansas. Making ...

I just did a Google search to see if kayaking was possible on the Buffalo River and discovered that it is! You can check buffaloriver dot com for more information. From what I saw on that site, we saw only a tiny fraction of the possibilities.

Hi, Highlander. Yes, it is the Buffalo River. My son said it is the Roark Bluff on the Buffalo River. The day I took these pictures was 7/31/19. We went to another part of the river on that same day. Pictures will eventually follow.

Ever since I noticed Patrick Mahomes on a sports bar TV early in the 2018 season, I have never missed a Chiefs game--on TV. Along the way, I noticed the skills of other folks, such as Andy Reid, Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce, Tyrann Mathiew, Terrell Suggs, Damien Williams, Sammy Watkins, Mecole Hardman,...

Re: KC Advertising and Signs
I wish everyone could have seen that gigantic Pontiac sign at night. It had a gazillion lights that would perform an impressive show in waves and flickers. People referred to its location as Signboard Hill. Thank you for posting a wonderful memory.
