Creating a garage that can be converted in the future would require constructing a podium garage instead of what is proposed now.
Is this not a podium design.. with a building on top??

Her argument, and actions preceding the argument, are so terribly unethical that she should be disbarred. Believe it or not the state bar does require ethical conduct to associate as a licensed lawyer in Missouri. People like this should not be allowed to practice law. Ever.

Trying to fit a major league baseball stadium into four square blocks is completely laughable.

You need nine. Minimum.

Re: Three Light

I wouldn't get excited yet. Digging a deep hole for a parking garage is a very expensive thing to do. On top of that, I don't think there will be apartments on the second floor either. It seems odd that they say "6 Stories below grade". If anything, I expect that to be 6 floors beneath the main tow...

Re: 14th and Wyandotte Tower

See the correct thread here: https://kcrag.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20878 This project seems fishy. Two people who haven't really done anything coming out here and proposing a large building seems odd to me. I'll believe it when I see it but I have my doubts. If anyone knows more than me, please sha...

Re: Bravicci Hotel Project - South of Crown Plaza Hotel

I wonder if they are planning to build the hotel up against the Crown Plaza where the old garage was recently demolished. https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0960276,-94.5851699,258a,35y,39.36t/data=!3m1!1e3?hl=en It seems like it. Having the adjacent parking lot parcel available for use will allow for...

Re: Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

Only 2 elevators seems woefully inadequate for a building this height even if it is just 8 inhabited office floors above parking. I worked in a 6 story Corporate Woods bldng with 4 elevators. Office buildings require more elevators than residential due to denser daytime population and peak rush hou...

I wish I understood more why they couldn't get financing to do w+r plus spec. I think that would go a long ways towards the frustrations here.
Didn't they previously announce that they were going to include 250K sf of spec space?

I think it's either going to end up being very unique and special, for a low rise building. That's why the secrecy exists.

Re: GO ROYALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably good thing this closed quickly. Delays or lingering may have caused higher bids from outsiders and MLB might have pressured Glass to consider them. I'm a little concerned over the price tag. At a billion dollars, it could put financial pressure on the ownership group and the small market c...

Any opinions? Immediately I gotta go with KCDervin. That was a monster. What do you guys think ever happened to Devin? I'd be interested to know if he ended up in the arch/engineer/development community. He certainty was passionate about that line of work in what I imagine were his high school years.

If KC loses the bid because poor public transit it would be a huge shame.
I don't get it.. Highways are still open to the public, right? And KC has what.. the largest highway system of any major city in the US?

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Impressive indeed. It's almost like Lucas acknowledged there was more to KC than just throwing money around downtown. Justus just sounded like a robot repeating the same failures of her mentor Sly James. Speaking of which he was on 710 yesterday and his interview went really bad. It's no wonder the...
