Re: Black Lives Matter Street Murals
IMO there's a huge difference between driving over a single narrow colorful crosswalk and driving down an entire street with random painted zigzagging colors. The latter sounds like it could actually be a truly hazardous situation.

Re: Black Lives Matter Street Murals
Are these streets being opened back up after the paint dries? 10th & Baltimore is back open to traffic now. Is the painting confusing or otherwise a hindrance to traffic? I haven't seen them in person yet but I feel like that's actually a legit concern to have on an active street. Doesn't all stree...

Just curious what ya'lls stance on slavery in Africa is. It's still very commonly practiced in Niger and the rest of the Sahara desert region. People literally walking around in chains and being sold as servants. I'm guessing nobody even realizes that slavery (Actual, legitimate slavery.. not just h...

Re: Cosentino's Grocery downtown
It sucks that as a private business you can’t do anything when a large group of protestors take over. It’s also ironic they’re protesting federal agents being in town to help solve murders but won’t protest against black on black crime. Agreed. The hypocrisy is real. People are also terrified becau...

Fang, ABC is clearly not the best source of news with regards to Covid-19. Please stop repeating their totally idiotic headlines. This shouldn't be about sensationalism. Here's a few corrections and pointers for those ridiculous headlines; Dr. Birx warns Americans to expect more deaths to come. Deat...

Genuinely surprised how fast the Parks Department started switching out the JC Nichols Blvd signs, especially given the fact that there are still MLK Blvd signs up on some places on the Paseo. Why does that surprise you? Politics are politics. Clearly they want to remove the JC Nichols Blvd signs, ...

Nothing would have happened if the cops hadn’t been antagonizing the protesters all night. They blocked us from marching by the federal reserve and almost immediately tear gassed us, this kept happening. No one that I saw in the protest was doing anything that deserved that kind of a response. Wasn...

So do you think there will be a V-shaped return? What's the case for that? Here's a quick, simple answer: Take a look at this forum. What happened in 2008? -Everything stopped. Everything. A Moshe Safdie masterpiece in the richeset part of town couldn't survive. People with degrees were in McDonald...

^Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. The downhill snowball effect is just getting started. There aren't any indicators to suggest a return to where we were in 18 months. Consumer confidence will probably be low at least until there is a vaccine but even then there's still a snowball effect th...

Two things I understand that dividends can be paid more than once on a reoccurring basis. To simplify: A publicly traded company has no sole owner, it is instead owned by common individuals who each own X amount of a share of that company, totalling 100% of the ownership. When the company makes pro...

So we shouldn’t do something because it would upset the rich people? No company should pay dividends then immediately need a government bailout. They’re either grossly irresponsible with their funds or lying. In either case they should be allowed to fail. It’s obvious now that the workers and consu...
