Re: OFFICIAL - Waddell & Reed - 14th & Baltimore

That was an odd little building. But at least it had what W&R say they cannot. Retail under the parking. Plus a cool little limestone outcrop about to disappear into the history of Gullytown.

Re: Shoal Creek Valley Neighborhood Plan

The equivalency is not in direction or distance from DT. It is in the type of housing, lifestyle and lack of street grid.

Re: Union Hill Development

There is still plenty of wood and sheet rock surface left so that it is not loud. Same menu at Opera House in RM and even some of the staff from down there. A little less seating space than Europa due to space needed for walk up order counter. Coffee drinks less expensive than Filling Station across...

Don't bother seeing Hearst Castle if its beauty you seek. Its a bizarre collection of a megalomaniac, something Putin might have somewhere in Crimea.

Maybe the fiberglass will be not seen, but the kitchen was left intact when CE left.

Re: Three Light

The St. Louis version appears surprisingly lofty and prominent in the classic over-the-Mississippi view even without the peak yet constructed. Sure will be the same here from the classic Liberty Mem view.

Re: Union Hill Development

For those who thought Cafe Europe had a sterile atmosphere and needed something else your wish is being granted. That classy euro atmosphere is being replaced with some cheap schlock. Saw them carrying in textured fiberglass panels of the sort used in dive bar and filling station restrooms.

Would like to see rendering including KCPA. Think this would be about the height of the tip of the opera house? Overall "L" shape of project could mirror shape of Loews and be corners of frame for KCPA. Wish they would restore Denny's to all its original 1960's Googi splendor. Unlike southern Califo...

Re: Three Light

Sorry, off topic, but Dear Leader wants all federal buildings in the future to adhere to a Neoclassic design. He is appointing people that share his opinion to the review boards. There is a preliminary draft of an executive order that Neoclassicism be the default style for new and remodeled faciliti...

Re: Oak Tower

Was there anything in the documents about the design for the expansion? I have never seen an image of the exterior lighting, except an old tinted postcard. The pattern of light and shadow on the pierced Gothic fretwork on the upper setbacks is dazzling. I wonder when the lighting was discontinued. I...

Re: Three Light

I like that this will be not as wide as Two. The projecting bay on the south side and its' line that is continued down the parking podium makes it even more visually slimming, like a person wearing vertical stripes. Cordish seems to be learning and improving even if it is increasing cost. This gives...

The infinity pool looks like it has a glass side on the north, like a human goldfish bowl. Cordish says it is narrower than 2 light, but narrower in which dimension? Is it slimmer on the east-west axis or north-south?
