Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
I don't think you'll get 20% of fans back on a bus. Tailgating has only exploded more since the Chiefs express left. That said it's still worthwhile to bring back some lines of it. It's like at least $50 if you buy your parking ahead of time but I think you'd be shocked how many people would use it...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium
All this talk of relocation when they're actively trying to drain Nashville/Charlotte/Portland of expansion dollars that will make everyone a lot richer than moving a sad team across state lines. It's near delusional at this point to think that the Royals would relocate. They are here, none of the a...

Re: TIME TO FREAK OUT AGAIN ABOUT CONFERENCE REALIGNMENT! THE BIG 12 IS DEAD! MAYBE!
I'd put money on the Pac 12 splintering with at least 4 schools going to Big 12 & the rest merging with the Mountain West to form a new Pac-# conference that will be seen in 5th place if the ACC doesn't do the same thing. Will basically look like a weaker Big 12 out west.

The movie theaters must be packed at night. I imagine radio dramas still do well there. What makes you think Europeans HAVE to be actively entertained by television and movie personas? Yes, most europeans have a TV. Yes, it sits turned off 98% of the time. I wouldn't expect a few brainwashed, Ameri...

Re: Beacon Hill
There are 16 recovery centers in Malibu, California, and the Betty Ford Center in Rancho Mirage, CA, is next to the Rancho Mirage Country Club and several others. Having them doesn't appear to have a negative effect. There's also people shitting on the streets in those same areas. California is jus...

Yeah, I think the new Big 12 will be completely built around KC. Basketball tourney is probably very safe based on location alone, I hope they aim for football too. Why not?

I know cars have the majority blame but it's still always heartbreaking to read about how many public transit options bit it during the Great Depression & just never came back. We rebuilt the country but not always in the best ways.

Definitely feels like a response to the continued growth of KU Med & the transition to University Health over on Hospital Hill. St. Luke's didn't want to get caught without their scrubs on.

Already enough hotels in the area plus it's hard to get people to stay all the way out at 435 & Parvin.

"Arizona Coyotes relocation odds: Houston, Kansas City favorites to be NHL team's next home" Get Mahomes help to form an ownership group and I bet we'd have a great shot. https://sports.yahoo.com/arizona-coyotes-relocation-odds-houston-194755807.html I can see this happening actually. I m...

Re: T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center)
KC has an ice hockey NHL spec arena ready to go tomorrow. I’m not sure if the others can say the same Houston, SLC, & Atlanta do, but they'd be sharing with long established NBA teams as the primary tenant. Atlanta's arena hosted the Thrashers & were never popular at all, & the arena is...

Re: T-Mobile Center (formerly Sprint Center)
Would be a bad look for the NHL to try Atlanta a third time before letting other cities get a shot so I think they're out. Houston & KC are probably the 1-2 right now, especially if we can get deep pockets involved. I'd honestly put QC at never happening due to Canadian dollar/franchise value, I...

Typical that they want to tear out a local business that has been part of a new & growing community within KCK. I feel for those folks, they've built something great there.

I really don't think people realize the overall scope of how many people are going to come, FOR A WHILE, for the WC. I know people from St. Louis who have pretty much said they'll camp out in my family's lawn for the whole thing if they can't find any hotels in the entire metro. We might have to tap...

Re: NFL Draft
Sounds like the draft hurt small businesses. World Cup will do the same. Different audience. There is going to possibly be 1 million plus internationals descending on the city for an outright party. The out of towers from this weren't the party type, this was more an event of "try out KC, then...

Re: NFL Draft
Be mad at the NFL, the city did their part & did it well. My girlfriend wanted to see the concert on Thursday night so we arrived later on, like 7:30, & got right in. No line, nothing, walked right through security. It wasn't flawless but at no point did I think they messed up or anything. I...
