Re: Electric Park Neighborhood (East Bottoms)

I had the distinct impression that the folks rolling in around 7 were ready to partaay all night, and not at the distillery.

Older, suburban demographic likes craft cocktails too.

Re: Electric Park Neighborhood (East Bottoms)

What an amazing space, a lot of money had to be put into this. Do they not really care about attracting people to the bar portion? We walked out at first because we were thinking it was just a distillery only. The bar space is huge maybe too large. I don't know if i like that most of the drinks jus...

Re: Layoffs at The Star

I've also read that the Star generates only $10 million annual revenue, so somewhat less than 100k per employee. That's unsustainable. I'm afraid that further cuts are likely. Again, just as a comparison, the PB Post generates $70 million annual revenue, around 1MM per employee. (Like the Star , th...

Agreed, but frankly, eliminating the art portion from what's going on now would make the current situation worse.
Who said you would eliminate the art portion, and why would you do that?
Bad choice of words, meant eliminating the gallery openings.

Re: Unbuilt KC

I was a bit underwhelmed, basically a bunch of powerpoints, and the office layout wasn't very conducive to lingering.

With the ratings on the next rail study, which east/west route is the primary route to be implemented following the completion of the Main St extension?
None of them. Voted down previously and not viable local funding-wise as stand alone corridors.

People blame the distance because it's embarrassing to admit they suffer from fear and loathing without the certainty of a parking lot.
