Listen to this. It's what he sounds like with a script. Rose garden, July 14th, 2020. https://youtu.be/rpIcP6VRtHI A bit of the official White House transcript of the speech. But the headlines are always testing. Now, the testing is a good thing, but at the same time, it’s — it’s fodder for the fake...

too bad couldn't get rid of the runt building between this and former Holiday Inn.
I've been told the reason for it staying is because it's part of the kitchen for the Marriott. Not sure how that works.

Which garage building is being demolished? The Club Garage (~3ish-level tan building) or the Muehlebach Garage (~7ish-level red building)?
I suspect it’s this one

I was told to expect new info about this project by the end of July, but now it's several days into August with nothing. Anyone know what's going on?

Re: Old KCPS HQ - 12th & McGee

I hate that there's no development planned for this site, but am I the only one who's a little bit glad this is getting torn down? It's not just that the building is ugly, but it really wrecks the surrounding urban fabric. Obviously, a big parking lot will be doing more damage in the interim, but an...

Re: OFFICIAL - 909 Walnut

I initially assumed it was for tuckpointing brick or some such, but if that was the case I don’t think it would all be concentrated around such a specific area. Even if they were replacing the glass in the windows I don’t think it would take that much scaffolding. My heart hopes it’s the return of t...

Wish Curtiss' studio would get a more extensive renovation. Those upper floors are looking pretty empty.

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

I don't think we have to worry about a sea of parking in the East Village. The stadium would take up the bulk of the area's surface lot wasteland, and there's not room to add vast swaths of parking unless they started putting it across the freeway in Paseo West. https://ballparkdigest.com/wp-content...

Re: N-S Bike Path in Urban Core

I think this was normalthing’s idea, but I’d love if PVP and Liberty Memorial and its grounds were consolidated into a unified, National Parks Service-run grand park.
