Re: OFFICIAL - The Continental Apartments (former Mark Twain Tower)

Looks like a second retail tenant will be opening soon. First was the yoga place at the corner of 11th and Baltimore. Now this space, to the left of the lobby on 11th Street, has been coming together over the past few weeks. Looks like a speakeasy. Haven't been told yet what it'll be. but it looks n...

Re: Scarritt Building

My dentist is in this building; I got a call yesterday that my upcoming appointment would have to be cancelled. Turns that the cancellation is due to his office being without electricity for the foreseeable future because the building has an unpaid 5-figure Evergy bill. Walked by it tonight, it's s...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

If the Royals and Chiefs issues were separate ballot questions, I’d vote yes for Royals and no on Chiefs. While the Royals stadium in the Crossroads is controversial, they’re at least making an effort to move much closer to the heart of the population and broaden their fan base as a result. If they ...

Re: Would You Recommend KC?

I come from St. Louis and chose to move here simply because the people are nicer and it’s not all doom and gloom. It’s recommended you stay away from any city’s Reddit because you’re exposed to some of the worst people there. On this forum, we have spirited discussions that sometimes get rough, but ...

I believe yes and it’s actively for sale.

On another note, the Oak Street connection to Locust is paved all the way, just the fence hasn’t been removed yet.
