Re: OFFICIAL - Embassy Suites (former Federal Reserve)
When walking by it looks like more of the stonework on the corner of the building is shifting and becoming loose. Not good.

Re: Sprint sale rumors again
It looks like the giant Sprint ad on the MainMark building is getting replaced. Any news on the Streetcar branding?

KC Taco Co. is the first place I've seen in downtown that has added a parklet in front of the business.

Re: Downtown Buildings with Activity
For some reason some buildings on Broadway think they will be targeted for looting - The Peanut, Quality Hill leasing office, and another apt. building on Broadway are completely boarded up on the ground floor. Interesting considering the only downtown protest is at City Hall and no one else closer ...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Wasn't there a curfew last night? And, weren't the protests only allowed on the sidewalk (As is the norm)? What do you expect the police to do when folks are breaking those two rules? Of course they're going to block you from marching to certain places, etc. There whole purpose at that point is sim...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
Nothing would have happened if the cops hadn’t been antagonizing the protesters all night. They blocked us from marching by the federal reserve and almost immediately tear gassed us, this kept happening. No one that I saw in the protest was doing anything that deserved that kind of a response. Wasn...

Re: OFFICIAL - Second and Delaware
I'm more than likely wrong, but it seems they aren't planning on putting brick on certain portions of the building. On the East side in direct view of the pedestrian bridge they layered on some base and then painted it beige a few days back. They are going before city planning committee to determine...

Re: Hospital Hill activity
Hey all, just with all this additional free time we all have, I thought I would give you a local, real report on what is happening right now in this pandemic. As with previous posts, it isn't hard to figure out which hospital I work for. With cases just starting to roll in (and quite a low hospitali...

Re: OFFICIAL - Second and Delaware
Workers & delivery trucks show up at 5:30-6am M-F. It's just transitioned to mostly interior work as I imagine they will do a tiered opening like most of the other large projects (ie: City Club). But yet I still don't understand why the 2nd St. exterior isn't finished...

Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)
If anybody happens to know the team working on this project, might you consider asking them to stop parking on the sidewalk on Walnut adjacent to Farm to Market bakery. It really impedes foot traffic on the only open sidewalk. Thanks. https://www.mwbuilders.com/ Good call. I sent a couple of messag...

Watching that video made me hopeful of the lots to the north on Walnut being developed as well and how awesome that view would be.TheLastGentleman wrote: ↑Mon Feb 17, 2020 10:43 pmNew drone video

Re: OFFICIAL - Grand Place (former KC Star building)
While I am in love with that protected bike lane, those two curb cuts on Grand have to go. Drivers would block that bike lane all day every day trying to pull out onto Grand. And why is the garage entrance on Grand when the parking lot currently utilizes 17th St?

Re: KCMO Downtown Streetcar
We don't need to publicize it. The city needs to create one day bus only lanes that have no cars on them instead. It's a great opportunity to show what bus lanes can do. There needs to be point at which no more cars are allowed past certain points, which barricades on streets entering downtown and ...

The building has a certain level of r/evilbuildings vibe going on with the new red lighting stripes. It looks fantastic both up close and from inside the loop.
