Re: OFFICIAL - City Club Apartments (former Midwest Hotel)
The solar panels are currently above gown gallery (or whatever the building is to the East of it). The building with the solar panels is northwest of the project. East is down and to the right the direction of the gray corner in the rendering/drawing Which the gown gallery is directly north of this...

Dear KC, Minimalism is dead. - Chicago Any examples of this in action in Chicago? Their other projects for starters. Not clear if based in Chicago or Detroit but local media implied they are based out of Chicago... https://www.cityclubapartments.com/corporate/pages/under-construction.asp The interi...

Re: 911 and 915 Broadway to become loft apartments
As a resident of this building since inception, I wouldn't be surprised if this place is sold off from Yarco (my fingers are crossed). They've been letting the maintenance and cleanliness slide, but as of late it's really nosedived. Management is nonexistent (so much so they recently had mounted TV'...

Re: OFFICIAL: Wallstreet Tower ( was:US Bank Tower going condo)
Glad it is happening. Bit worried about the noise for residents in the tower. How would there be any noise? I'm sure the lowest main floor of the tower is the amenity floor with the gym, patio, etc., and this being virtual suites (I'm sure its the same system used in The Grand) there should be no n...

They do this every Thursday as Ford is a sponsor. The vehicles don't block pedestrian access and are on Cordish owned property. There have been some 311 complaints but those always come from road closures, as to be expected. From what I've read on here, many members are not fans of road closures. C...

https://i.imgur.com/3nvPdtG.jpg Why does the city keep granting permits for this? Not only is it blocking the sidewalk, but it's also a hazard for those using the crosswalk since it blocks sightlines. (The Grand side is even worse...) Does the city really give permits for this? 311 got a little sna...

Here's public works newest invention- the reusable crosswalk timer! For use when those troublesome trucks keep knocking your expensive poles over. Simple fix- put a tire on the bottom to just role it back upright!

That's also where the private balconies are, so I doubt they will be putting the rest up there.

Re: OFFICIAL: Port Authority Riverfront Project
Yes I know the long term plan. I don't know why that would at all influence this idea. It's quick to implement and can be reversed if it impacts anything negatively. Sorry. My thinking was that they would need to be closing the NB lane for construction while they are building the bike lane on to it...

The hotel finally lost the loading zone in front of the apartments/Jimmy Johns on Grand! Now the zone is confined to the area directly in front of the main entrance.

What's going on to the building at 1620(ish) Grand? Sidewalk is completely closed and excavated down to the basement foundation of the building. I'm betting they're the next project to not follow the sidewalk closing policy... https://cityscenekc.com/event-space-planned-for-longtime-eyesore-buildin...

I roll my eyes daily when they use the bobcat to clean the street, but conveniently do not do the bike lane or sidewalk.
