Re: Outlet Mall update
So this means that H&M has given up on Prairie Fire Phase II ever happening. Abercrombie is a dying company and couldn't survive at Independence Center or Town Center Plaza. I think the Zona Rosa store closed too as well as the Plaza. They will probably close their Oak Park Mall store in favor of th...

Re: What does it need
Homegoods? Sierra Trading Post? Sprouts? Ross? Felid and Stream? Hen House! Ramey Price Cutter if it wants to expand into KS? Yes, I'm sure Field and Stream wants to open its first Kansas store in Emporia, the town famous for helping chase off its second largest employer over a little xenophobia. I...

Re: What does it need
It's South of here and we need a Board that includes other area's in KS/MO that are in KC area. Considering that we don't have that for the MO side, I would have to disagree. That leasing plan is also a mess. It's implying that Emporia can handle another 100,000 ft2 General Merchandise store? What ...

Re: KC metro growth and migration stats
Wichita city proper probably only has growth because they are annexing a lot of areas. If u Google wichita and see there city limits there is an island that is like 30 miles SW of Wichita by Viola KS. That can't be part of the city can it? Looks like it's a police-related facility owned by the city...

But maybe expand to Ottawa,KS and Butler,MO. Braums wouldn't go there either. 324 miles from Tuttle to Ottawa 338 to Butler, MO You're trying to explain distance to a member who thinks that Meijer is going to build a store in KC 800 miles away from their nearest location and will be willing to hop ...

I suppose "Greenfield" would not be the right term. I was more thinking non-adaptive reuse, where no "brownfield," or historic structure causing extenuating circumstances requiring subsidies. I almost feel like in some of these scenarios Dev's are just adding apartments that the market is not deman...
