Re: Homegoods
Shopko Hometown has locations near by so does Stage and Goody's Family Clothing. Ross doesn't have a location on 135th Street/Santa Fe yet. BAM only has one location so far KCK. HHGREGG? Bloomingdales but Macy's closing locations across the country. If REI wasn't their then Gander Mountain or Sport...

Re: Former Merriam Kmart
As is Winsteads. I'm happy there's a plan, but doubt it will be mixed use. Merriam is pretty blase about pushing back on developers and that spot has been empty a long time. Not living in KC I have to say that I was pleasantly impressed with Winstead's. I've only ever been to the ones on 135th and ...

Re: Ward Parkway Mall just sighed up
The south end of the Ward Parkway mall (it was largely linear) was dominated, per my distant memory of the 1970s, by the chic St. Louis department store, Stix, Baer & Fuller. I recall oversized 1970s black-silver-and-mirrors décor. It was considered the most fashionable of the KC mall department st...

Re: Former Merriam Kmart
It's too bad that Menards pulled out. It would have been the largest store in the chain... The IHOP outparcel is empty too, but Denney's and Krispy Kreme are good tenants.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/33134456@ ... 2271917516 I have some modern shots from 2015-2016 that show of how good the existing interior portion looks, but I want to see photos of when it was more, well, mall-like.

My Kansas City Area Photos
Older ugly section of Oak Park Mall (down by JCP where the ceilings tend to be water damamnged and such.) https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5323/18873284822_1af356fa05_c.jpg Slightly more attractive section of Oak Park Mall that was redone for the Nordstrom addition (though why they didn't just redo the...

Re: Homegoods
HomeGoods seems to be a discount version of Bed, Bath & Beyond; this could be the most "upscale" development they have been in. Seems like an odd choice with their neighbor being REI, which is definitely not discount. But it beats an empty building. I take this as they're desperate to get space lea...

Re: Ward Parkway Mall just sighed up
Does anyone have any vintage (pre reconfigeration of the lower leval at the least) pictures of Ward Parkway? There are pictures of Antioch, Blue Ridge, Bannister, Metro North, Metcalf South, and even The Landing everywhere on the internet, but Ward Parkway and Mission Center have eluded me thus far ...
