Re: Wonderful Waldo

Did anyone read my post in "Next Mayor 2019"? Q isn't working for the city. He is currently on a power trip as evidenced by his antagonism toward the Port Authority. He has one goal: his election to congress. If he has his way, you won't see him run for a second term as mayor. That would be a blessi...

Re: Next Mayor 2019

Lucas seems to be playing grudge politics with economic development. This sort of behavior can't be good for the city. From the Star, "Port Authority votes on USDA incentives, but not happy with where all the money goes." Re: the USDA move top Port Authority staff and appointed commissioners express...

The proposal calls for two residential buildings, one seven stories, the other 12 stories, totaling 220 units, and a 12-story hotel with 220 rooms to be built at 1650 Broadway. A parking garage would be located beneath one of the build...

Re: OFFICIAL - Strata (H&R Block's 2nd Tower)

Generally, how do parking garage floor heights compare with the heights of floors dedicated to residential or office uses? My impression has always been that parking floors are not as tall as the others. Is that true?

Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.

When the 8 or so story building on the southeast corner came down under Cleaver's watch, I never imagined I would see a multistory building rise in its place.

I wonder if they'll close the small port facility in the West Bottoms if this becomes a reality.

I will subscribe to CityScene. I may pay for it by dropping my subscription to the Star. Local business news is all I'm interested in and the Star's business section doesn't change for days on end.

Re: OFFICIAL - Strata (H&R Block's 2nd Tower)

If the office building at 13th and Wyandotte, the hotel next to the Crowne Plaza, Waddell and Reed, Three Light, and Strata all happen with overlaps in construction times, that is going to be a very busy corner of the loop.

They are projecting it will take two full years to build. I thought it might take less time since they're not moving dirt.

Re: Companies moving downtown

From Wikpedia: The city government of Kansas City wished to preserve and redevelop the building. To facilitate this, in 1974, they made a development deal with Trizec Corporation, a Canadian redevelopment firm.[9] Included in the deal was an agreement that Trizec would redevelop the station.
