Re: Renovations of apartment buildings along Armour Blvd.

The plans for the first of the Four Corners buildings (NE corner) has been submitted on Compass (no attachments, so I don't know if there have been any changes).

I wonder if this means they might even be ahead of schedule for the proposed construction start date in September.

Re: UMKC: Oak Street West Development

It is unfortunate that two fairly large apartment developments on the same site have to be demolished within 15 years, but hopefully the new development will be an improvement over what is currently there. I hope whatever gets built there is the scale of Twin Oaks, or perhaps larger. A key factor in...

Re: "Tower East"

The LCRA meeting was moved to 3/4 and there is a little more info for this development on the uploaded presentation. "First floor to be renovated for commercial uses, including a potential expansion of Square One Studio, a design/fabrication firm located next door. Second and Third floors to be reno...

I'm curious as to what is going on with the proposed development on both sides of the Fire Station. It seems like things have been quiet. I really hope they didn't get scared away by a couple NIMBYs making noise.

Re: "Tower East"

Yeah, it is a pretty large building. The listing says 27,000 rentable sq ft. SquareOneStudio, the furniture design and manufacturing company in the building to the north purchased it. It looks like the sale came with another smaller building that is attached to their main building, as well as a vaca...

On the LCRA agenda of Wednesday's meeting will be a presentation on a development for 620 Linwood Blvd (the former ice cream truck building that sold about a year ago. There will be a special meeting the week of March 2nd to consider a tax abatement. I don't see any indication of what the developmen...

Re: Wonderful Waldo

It looks like the Ice House project is back on the LCRA agenda for the meeting this Wednesday. The project has grown from 4 stories and 33 units to 5 stories and 44 units (first floor commercial space the same). The values has increased from $8M to $9.3M. Looks like they are still seeking a 75% 10 y...

Does anyone remember how long Milhaus's option to purchase the land south of Gallerie ran? I wonder if they will be exercising it. Looks like it still belongs to Hallmark.

It looks like Pulse Design Group will be relocating from OP to this building, occupying the 10th floor.

They are a healthcare architecture firm. As far as I know, there is no connection to Pulse Development Group.

There was a plan that recently showed up on Compass for some sort of gym in that strip. There is a physical therapy business that recently moved in as well. I think there might be one vacant space left.

They had a party/rally inside Union Station, but no parade.

I think after the frigid temps for that championship game, getting people to go outside for a parade in the middle of December might have been a tall ask.
