Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)

High and better use is a standard industry phrase for “this is a good site to redevelop”. There is literally no connection between that phrase and any potential “we are building a tower”. I have no clue how else they’re fitting 300 units then You are insinuating that the phrase has a hiding meaning...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Something different from STL’s BPV is that this ownership group had their hands in numerous local and global businesses that could be potential tenants for office at Royals District.

Office is something they have specifically mentioned at this meeting.

Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal

Yes I know lol. But which of those are new, and not returning? Long Beach is the only brand new route. The rest were all served previously. So how to flights compare to pre covid flights? Are flights even back up to what they were pre covid yet? I know there are less flights to DCA and BWI which re...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

this could be a dumb question which has been discussed previously--but i was in downtown STL recently for work and walking around the govt/courthouse district, which is close to busch stadium. does STL illustrate how a downtown stadium could feel in KC? the two downtown stadium locations seem somew...

New month.. New Airport.. New Routes! 😁 Feb 28th inaugural flights will be a boon for the new KCI and we are thrilled for all the new or returning routes we are launching from Kansas City International Airport in 2023. Re: NE Corner of 14th & Wyandotte (300 unit apartment)

It should be a lesson though. Waddell & Reed insisted on not having an activated streetscape so they could have their beloved parking garage at that level and then they didn't even occupy the building. The City should have said no to them on that. The reason it's important is that conventioneer...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

Personally, all the social outrage about funding seems a bit tired. Putting in $1B to get a matching $1B that will generate a significant return both financially and socially in the urban core is a no-brainer. The city isn’t in a position to pay a billion dollars for anything. The Marlins stadium i...

A downtown stadium will be better for attracting tourists and for the city's events business. It will also make downtown more attractive to live or work in

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

For example, the East Village has likely not been developed because of the inadequacy of the public infrastructure. I disagree. EV has not been developed because the city gave an entire chunk of downtown to a single entity to develop under the assumption that it had to be completely cleared for a b...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

What’s frustrating me is that this is actually a really good deal the ownership is offering financial-wise, and nobody’s getting it. Most owners aren’t willing to fork over anywhere near a billion and then only ask you to extend a tax that’s literally already in place. Dude, I don't known if you're...

Re: Downtown Baseball Stadium

The three steps to selling the stadium are a copy and paste of the three steps to selling new KCI. I think the first step is the least inherently apparent but also the main roadblock to moving forward. Royals Step 1: What we have today does not work (The current stadium requires a major overhaul). S...

If you can't drum up actual support, just browbeat the masses until they are resigned to its inevitability because they don't have the means or will to stop it? Sounds good to me. IDK It sounds like most are arguing against moving downtown and not about funding stadiums (only downtown ones) Idk I t...

Different era. Way different era. The Chiefs are prob the biggest team in American sports now, with the biggest star. They've given the city everything. People will back them.
