Re: Downtown Parking Enforcement

However, there's already the perception that there is zero parking downtown by all of the surburbanites or they are too lazy to walk more than half a block. Is it going to negatively affect growth when these people start getting tickets and the KC Star picks it up and blows it out of proportion? Ye...

Re: Downtown Parking Enforcement

I like the idea of parking enforcement because it's ridiculous the things I see. However, there's already the perception that there is zero parking downtown by all of the surburbanites or they are too lazy to walk more than half a block. Is it going to negatively affect growth when these people star...

Re: OFFICIAL - City Bank Building (Church of Scientology)

So, what do we want this building to become once it inevitably goes up for sale again? I’m thinking hotel You haven't looked into Scientology have you? The org structure is your classic corporate cult structure where they could go bust and someone will still own the building 100 years from now unle...

Re: Downtown Zoning

I’m not sure what could change? Realistically anyway. How about cutting the concerts off at 10 PM and starting them earlier? I've attended a few of the big-name concerts in the Live Block and they will advertise the show starting at 7-8 PM, but the headliner comes on at 10-11 PM. I know it's a mark...

I think that spot was awkward for a stadium with the railroad tracks. Maybe if they tunneled over the tracks.

Re: OFFICIAL: Power & Light District

Does anyone else find ax throwing really creepy? Am I just old? Like everyone says Cordish is so selective about their tenants, and we get people throwing axes? It's a temporary fad that won't last long. Similar to the escape room craze that is already dying down. The only creepy part about it is s...

Re: Crown Center: urban disaster, shining star, or in-between

Converting all of the third floor over to halls was an extremely smart move on CC's part. That said, It'd be nice to see a marquee restaurant or experiential tenant take up the old 4th floor theater space. It's a shame that large of a space is just mothballed. Overall, It's the second floor that gi...

Makes you wonder why more chain fast food doesn't notice. I've been told by leasing in the past that most fast food chains won't even consider anything if a "drive-thru" isn't an option. That's a bunch of crap though. NYC, Chicago, Vegas and other high pedestrian areas are full of fast food options...

Re: Fantasy Retrofits: Barney Allis Plaza

I know it won't happen, but I'd love to see some buildings developed on some of this site. Maybe a big tower on the north that looks over the plaza. It could be tall so it breaks up the Marriott slab. I'm all for big plazas in the right context, but I don't think BAP needs the entire city block to ...

I see this condo campus getting bulldozed within 10-15?years of the streetcar extension opening.
Yep. The abandoned hospital is in shambles. The interior is trashed or gutted by vandals and vagrants.
