Re: Ragger plays hardball

Huh, the CEO of RBC also made sexually suggestive comments to me on multiple occasions during a job interview where he invited me to a bar. Glad I turned that job down.

Edit: oh yea, he also talked about Jesus a lot

"Restaurant" would be a great name.

And is that rendering greatly exaggerating the amount of sidewalk space?
I don't think so, there is a lot of sidewalk space there.

Re: Uptown Theatre district improvements

I was told KC Life owns the building and we’re going to be trying for a restaurant in the location. No idea how accurate that information is.

Re: Uptown Theatre district improvements

The old Uptown Arts Bar has a printed sign up saying that the "Moonlight Cocktail Lounge" will be open after 5 PM on Friday and Saturdays during construction. I will def be checking it out tonight and see if I can learn more about what's going to eventually be there.

Re: Politics

I'm actually kind of curious, what would happen if a city just ignored state law and refused to comply. Would the state start arresting people? Could the city use the police to protect them? This probably wouldn't work in KC since the city doesn't control the police, but interesting thought experime...

Re: Bike Lanes

I think this is a legit complaint though. I cross Armour every day, sometimes in a car, sometimes on a scooter, usually on foot. It's VERY hard to see oncoming traffic at some intersections without having to slowly creep out into the bike lane and sometimes into the traffic lane. Some parking needs ...

Yea a lot of work going on here. You can see the parts on the side of the building that we’re missing brick has metal framing and now insulation installed. Construction fences also around the empty lots to the north as well.

I want a food hall in that location so bad.
Did I hear you say Trader Joe's?
I’ve always thought a TJs would go great in that electronics supply building.

Re: Midtown Area Apartment Boom

Does anyone know what is going on with the nearby townhouse development proposal for the L-shaped lot at 34th and Wyandotte/Baltimore? No clue. I was in pretty regular contact with the architect about a year ago and they had gotten all the sign offs from the city the last I heard and I haven’t hear...

I do agree that sounds like a dispensary name. Although, I'm hoping for more creative names. Knowing this town, we'll have "Streetcar Dispensary" and "Westport Dispensary" before we have a "Dank of America" or "Grass Station".

Yea I agree. I like them but their price point is rough and their space is way too big, it always looks empty even when it has people in it.

Re: Westport

Aggieville needs to stay in Manhattan. Can't the dude aspire to providing some options for people who don't want to relive their college glory days every weekend? On a brighter note, a new breakfast-all-day place from Denver, Snooze is coming to Westport at 4140 Broadway. Article says a new buildin...
