Re: NOBODY cares about the Wizards

On another note, I just read the comments for all 20 teams.  What a ridiculous list! "The Atlanta Thrashers only average 15,000/game.  But, that's good for Atlanta."  Then why are they on that list? "The Washington Nationals have a brand new stadium.  Too bad nobody shows up, as they...

Re: NHL OR NBA, let the message board decide!!

Ok that's fine, but for example a lot has changed in Vancouver since the Grizzlies were moved to Memphis. There economy is great, the Canadian dollar is high, the city is getting the Olympics in 2010, and it has been named best city to live in the world since.

Re: NHL OR NBA, let the message board decide!!

Ian Thompson is being very contradicting here. He says KC will get a team but Vancouver will never get another chance? They lost the grizzlies similarly like the way the sonics left seattle, new owner sabotaged the team and moved it. KC had a team in the past too and we lost it. I still think LV wil...

Might have to change my vote, since I have no interest in a league that's fixed.

Re: Predators MIGHT be sold to William "Boots" DelBiaggio !!!!!!!

It's amazing what the eliminations of the Yankees and Mets can do in October for that other sport that plays during the week this month. Versus reported that its telecast of the Rangers-Islanders game Wednesday night attracted 1.8 percent of households in New York, making it the highest-rated cable...

Re: Predators MIGHT be sold to William "Boots" DelBiaggio !!!!!!!

I would think the opener would have few comp tickets.  But I could be wrong. I just think the city is simply too small.  Only 1.2 million live there (nashville). KC is a small market and we have 2 million right in the area and closer to 2.5 million if you go an hour outside the city and we have a h...

Re: Predators MIGHT be sold to William "Boots" DelBiaggio !!!!!!!

wait it was actually 16,000+ still not a sell out though for a good team. Boots needs to hurry up and buy this team, and bring it to KC. I'd like to see my Blackhawks live once in a while.

Re: Predators MIGHT be sold to William "Boots" DelBiaggio !!!!!!!

Predators had 13,000 people last night for their home opener... PATHETIC.

Most teams had sell outs or close to sell outs. Even the craptacular ones.

Re: Predators MIGHT be sold to William "Boots" DelBiaggio !!!!!!!

You know, Nascar is ahead of the NBA by miles... the NBA regular season ratings were like 1.0 points ahead of the NHL last year. NHL is going the MLB route and following the new media business model. Check out their website it looks much better you can also watch CI Online now for free until the 10t...

NBA season ratings were in the gutter this year because teams like the Knicks, Celtics, Sixers all sucked.

Re: NHL to expand by two clubs in the West

The NBA is not coming to KC. Believe it all you want, but it isn't going to happen. OKC will get first nod before KC because they got no other pro sports teams there. Las Vegas is still probably a higher priority than KC even without an arena.

Re: NHL to expand by two clubs in the West

I can hear it now, NBA fans crying after an NHL team is playing in the Sprint Center. The NBA isn't going to expand, nor are they putting KC infront of Las Vegas, OKC, Anaheim etc... Yes the NHL has taken a huge hit after the lockout, but the league isn't going anywhere, and it will eventually bounc...

I still prefer the NHL, btw have you guys seen the NBA ratings? Trust me they are nothing to write home about either.

NFL and MLB are the only sports that get ratings, also Nascar.
