Re: KC's Big 5 needs for 2020s

2. Location: IMHO The campus is located in the best place for a college in KC. UMKC is placed in a much better location than STL's Washington University (residential, not walkable) and SLU (sketchy area, not walkable). Close proximity to the Plaza job center should be capitalized off of for interns...

Re: OFFICIAL - Strata (H&R Block's 2nd Tower)

Grovestar -- I wish that were the case about loud music downtown! Normalthings -- I didn't know about the One Hundred building, that's a great looking building. Is it the first hi-rise they've done? I think most developers fall short of what some would like to see in community outreach. MAC has don...

135 parking spots at 5 people per car = 675 people 135 parking spots at 7 people per car (it is south JoCo after all!) = 945 people Something less than a drop in the bucket. This country is ill with Stockholm Syndrome when it comes to our parking. coastal metros are developing the shit out of parki...

Re: Gateway Terminal (container port)

One thing that I didn't realize until recently is there's no pleasure boat docks at KC on the MO River Omaha has a small marina and the other direction looks to be at Washington MO Agree, this is a big bummer for KC. There's also Cooper's Landing in Columbia, with a small dock, gas and camping (and...

Re: Gateway Terminal (container port)

heres some cool photos of the harbor rebuild/upgrade at granite city (funded by the state of illinois). for being a "river city" the port facilities around st.louis are/were in ruins...kc may see similar upgrades soon if not already. it's neat to see river port facilities becoming more like what you...
