Re: On-going downtown development projects
I think retail is a surprisingly vital element for consistent pedestrian activity. The Plaza is still the busiest I’ve ever seen anywhere in KC on random, non-event days. Downtown has added lots of residents and restaurants and such, but it seems like KC pedestrians only really come out when there’...

Re: Plaza move-ins (ongoing)
The Victoria's Secret/Pink space is 10,500+ square feet and the neighboring Bath & Body Works space is 2,900+ square feet. I haven't seen any permits/plans filed for these spots, but given the combined size it could be broken up into smaller spaces or go to one tenant. Zara stores are quite lar...

I've purposely been taking the long way home to watch this project and it is so transformative.

I'm asking for a subscription to the KCBJ for Xmas, so bear with me. Can someone shed some light on the article in the BJ about the Sporting exec that "built a kitty" in the sports betting world to lure the Chiefs over to the Kansas side, please and thank you? The details are really more ...

As long as they have a good fish and chips, I'm in! As I've been alcohol sober now for 2.5 years, food is my main draw going to P&L.

My partner and I actually went up in the one in STL. It was a cool experience, though I doubt if I would go back a ton of times. Visually, I would agree, there is a lot of impact. If it's a tourist drawl, so be it, just means there's more people downtown.

Re: Downtown office vacancy
Did anyone clock the article in KCBJ saying that downtown could take on 8 MILLION sqft of new office space in the next 20 years? I'm not a subscribing member, so I'm not sure the details of the article. What is everyone's thoughts on this? I think it would be awesome and it would take luring of comp...

Moving from SE Volker to N Volker (friends call us "boogie b@tches" lol) and living in the neighborhood as a whole for more than a decade now, I'm absolutely ALL for a project like this at this corner. I guess my only real gripe with it, is it looks out of place. I would like to see someth...

Re: Office project at 27th & Main
I think it's been said before, but I'd really like to see this as more mixed use or strictly residential as opposed to just office. Either way, this parcel holds such great potential being on a streetcar stop...just my two cents.

Is this site and the site from Collison's article today in CitySceneKC the same or are they two different proposals. Sorry, if this was answered previously.

@DColeKC, what are the odds that the Sky project could use some of the design elements from this previous plan? Like the design and look of those two larger buildings in that last photo.

While I'll be sad to see the haunted houses go, I'm excited to see the Avery Building get redeveloped. The architecture of the Avery is beautiful. I just hope that this plan will come to fruition.
