Hello, I check these regional Midwest forums out from time-to-time and came across this thread (I live in Columbus) and was glad to see a great, positive reaction. Columbus and Kansas City are two wonderful, mid-sized cities and both should be proud and get over the "low-confidence" stuff...

I will agree for the most part, although even to call it "StL Lite" is a huge compliment, considering the undeniable transformation occuring in downtown St. Louis-- arguably the best comeback story in the Midwest. Cincinnati is a relatively staid city compared to most in the Midwest, eve...

Great pics. You actually make me miss Ohio, which is hard to do. My biggest regret about college was that I didn't spend more time in downtown Columbus (I went to OSU). The comparison was a mere node of shopping in the region. I'm not saying that The Plaza is just shopping (I know it isn't; it has museums, residential areas, etc) but simply a comparison on how most people in KC would go to the Plaza first to shop while people in Columbus would go to Easton to shop...
