Re: COVID-19 Casualties
Only thing surprising here is that Anton never, as far as I know, got the opportunity to act like an insufferable man-child on national television and instead had to resort to acting out on social media for his negative attention fix.

Do you mean, go back underground? While having them out and open and honest and saying the quiet part out loud has been eye-opening, it hasn't been pleasant.

Uh, approximately what percentage of these "woke white women" are right wing trolls? I just assume all the woker-than-thou bullshit is fake until proven otherwise.

Of course not those, they are not far left. Many if not most moderates also support some form of nationalized healthcare at this point, but depends on how executed. I suspect many if not most moderates support some form of healthcare that they can get as long as those who they feel don't deserve it...

Those crazy far left agenda items like ensuring normal people have healthcare and can get an education. Downright shocking!

Sour grapes at what? I'm ecstatic Trump is getting evicted from the white house. Of course, I'd be almost as ecstatic if he were being replaced by a half-finished AI modeled on the personality of Barney the Dinosaur. At least the tweets would be wholesome and about being nice to each other instead o...

If I'm not mistaken there are permits pulled. It isn't hypothetical. There are permits and there is a BofA coming soon sign at the P&L retail space. The new B of A space is entirely virtual so it’s possible the two locations serve different purposes. could be for sure. and I can see that, showing o...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC
When you walk around every day (during times most people are walking and driving around) and you and some dozen others are blocked from crossing by some idiot sniffing the streetcar's ass literally every time you get off at 12th St. northbound, sure that doesn't make it a problem when there are no p...

Why shouldn't it be important? If their goal is to bring resources into and improve a community, why are they not bringing their resources into that community and trying to help sort out whatever problems are there instead of (or in addition to) making money off other people who are moving there and...

Agreed, very sad news, but their lease was up and you can't really blame them for letting it go considering the situation. Intimate dining rooms like that don't seem very viable right now and likely won't be for the foreseeable future. I don't know how much of it was covid, but surely it was at leas...

Re: Politics
Assuming Biden doesn't run (which I'm obviously not sure of, just guessing) who does run will be highly dependent upon how things go between 2021 and 2024. If things go well, life is able to return more or less to at least something resembling what we've come to know as pre-corona "normal", the chao...

Re: Politics
If Trump is the Republican party now, they deserve to never win anything again. The Republican party should be over. It probably won't be, but only because being right isn't as valuable in politics as being persuasive to people who are psychologically defective enough to be susceptible to cult leade...

Re: Politics
The left spent years saying it wasn't entirely legitimate because it wasn't entirely legitimate. Is that even debatable? I assume he'd have won regardless, but the left wasn't trying to undermine his presidency, the undermining was done by the people who got convicted. They undermined themselves.

...but you realize that I'm not vindicating Trump there, right? I'm alleging that the Russian conspiracy could simply be deeper and more complex (and cleverer) than anyone thought, but that it's still a legit conspiracy against America. The problem here is that the onion has so many layers, and the ...
