Re: Infrastructure Stimulus
lol @ "bailing out" Amtrak Amtrak has lost money almost every single year it’s been in existence. It’s been given well over 35 billion in bailouts and for years, this was because it was run like a complete shit show. Not sure if it’s still true, but years ago more people flew on private planes per ...

I agree, if your definition of all hell breaking loose is Fox News hosts losing their minds over it because the victim wasn't instead armed and ready to shoot anyone who didn't comply with their every paranoid whim.

Re: 2023 KCMO Election
I'm a fan of having more social workers handle certain situations, but I don't know that means freeing up more cops because most of the time, you'd want to have a cop with the social worker for safety. If we simply fixed the homeless situation in this country, we would free up thousands of hours of...

Re: OFFICIAL - Lightwell (formerly City Center Square)
I don't know how widespread this is, but the company I work for is letting employees decide whether or not to return to the office. Indications are that most won't come back. In some ways I think that kinda sucks, but once the tide started leaning that way, I was sucked in by it as well. Who wants t...

I found Scott's to be good, but a bit more of a drive than I'd have liked with so much damn good bbq closer. Great choice if you live closer, though.

Re: COVID19
Cool story, bro. Who is this anonymous pathologist, and for which esteemed institution does this person work? Can I see his published papers about vaccine resistant viruses actually being a serious concern? If not, I'm sticking with the established science that says it's more or less a non-issue.

Re: COVID19
Beats me, I'm getting it. If young people refuse it because numbers are trending in the right direction, they're probably just going to cause it to trend in the wrong direction. Great idea! Who doesn't love unnecessary death and suffering? All hail young people, for they are our future of not having...

Re: Westport Flea Market
I wouldn't know about the burger, as when I tried to have one Doordashed for lunch some weeks ago, I got someone else's hot dog and jalapeno poppers and chicken sandwich. But those were OK. I mean, what was I gonna do, send it back?

Re: COVID19
OK, but when tornado sirens go off, do they run outside in the middle of the storm and say, "SCREW YOU GOVERNMENT, I WON'T LIVE IN FEAR!"? I doubt it. There is a certain level of mistrust of government that is rational, and then there's being an idiot. Which I wish there was a better word for becaus...

Only thing surprising here is that Anton never, as far as I know, got the opportunity to act like an insufferable man-child on national television and instead had to resort to acting out on social media for his negative attention fix.

Do you mean, go back underground? While having them out and open and honest and saying the quiet part out loud has been eye-opening, it hasn't been pleasant.

Uh, approximately what percentage of these "woke white women" are right wing trolls? I just assume all the woker-than-thou bullshit is fake until proven otherwise.

Of course not those, they are not far left. Many if not most moderates also support some form of nationalized healthcare at this point, but depends on how executed. I suspect many if not most moderates support some form of healthcare that they can get as long as those who they feel don't deserve it...
