Re: OFFICIAL - New KCI Terminal
The Escape lounges in the US aren't part of the Priority Pass network, so you'll (likely) need a fancy AmEx card for entry.

Re: Levy at Martini Corner (NE Corner 31st & Gillham)
We *should* (based on what the neighborhood association has been told) see construction begin on this in a month or two. While there hasn't been any permit activity in a while, the Compass project has recently-updated plans for platting.

Re: New Riverfront Women's Soccer Stadium
Correct - it's the portion between the Grand viaduct and the stadium that had the issue, as converging back with the pedestrian route on the Riverfront Heritage Trail had far too many people walking on it (and using the entire width of the trail) to be of much use on a bike. In any case, if both gro...

Re: New Riverfront Women's Soccer Stadium
I biked - other than the wind (which was "fun" on the ride back), the only real quibble I have is that the last stretch along the river to the stadium doesn't have a dedicated bike route, so you're doing one or more of: dodging peds on the riverfront trail, riding through the construction ...

Re: Martini Corner near 31st/Gilham
It looks like the first steps of re-making Martini Corner may be starting. An application for the rooftop deck at Sol Cantina has been submitted: https://compasskc.kcmo.org/EnerGov_Prod/SelfService#/plan/3f70b761-b62f-4bd3-8fc0-71631741c0a2?tab=moreinfo This project is back again for the Barrio bui...

My dentist is in this building; I got a call yesterday that my upcoming appointment would have to be cancelled.
Turns that the cancellation is due to his office being without electricity for the foreseeable future because the building has an unpaid 5-figure Evergy bill.

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
A bit of a bummer - 4 group stage games, one in the round of 32, and a quarterfinal, along with no USMNT games (in the group stage, at least), but still, we’ll have people here for events for all but the last week of World Cup.

Looks like it only took about 2.5 years for this hope to become (partially) true, as Worcester has put the building on the market.

Given that this is the Show-Me State, feel free to show your work at your leisure.
Assuming you're not just (once again) low-level trolling and actually trying to influence policy, I'd say that whatever you've been doing doesn't seem to be working.

Re: Is KC Tenants destroying the development future of downtown KCMO?
Kathleen Pointer, KCPS Senior Policy Strategist, is also a KC Tenants Board Member. She is very involved and opposes virtually every major development asking for incentives. Is her dual representation of KCPS & KCT a conflict of interest and creating a misrepresentation that benefits KCT/KCPS? ...

Re: News from Omaha
This is a weird argument to get into, but Omaha's transit agency has served Iowa for its entire history , and a bus route currently runs through Carter Lake between Eppley and downtown *. TBH, the biggest reason that no one up there presumably cares about enhancing transit access to the airport is p...

Re: World Cup 2026 at Arrowhead?
Both SKC and Chiefs season ticket holders had presale windows (I don't know generous the Chiefs-side one was, but I could have bought up to eight additional tickets in the Cauldron if I had wanted), so it probably wasn't *just* the usual "Ticketmaster bots" bogeyman accounting for the lack...

It's a near-certainty that an SEO bot was looking for vacant business addresses to create fake locations and boost traffic/click revenue; the URL lists a location and phone number for Phoenix.
I just put in an edit request to have it removed.

Re: KU/KCK <-----> TSC East/West Transit
The Linwood section has only one "extra" stop east of Gillham; otherwise, the spacing from Troost east would be 1/2 mile between all stops.
The Clark and Wyoming stops on the 39th St section could reasonably be combined, however.
