The drive-thru only location on the Fe in Olathe was phenomenal while it lasted.

I used to be for downtown ball, but I just don't have any passion for it like I used to.
Do you have any passion for what the next generation, and beyond, would like to experience?

Re: Bluhawk

135th Street in Leawood has certain guidelines to follow. Also, Leawood's internal processes make it possibly the most challenging municipality in the metro to develop in. Can't fault anyone for avoiding building there. Then, I'm assuming it took a lot of time and work for Barstow to get approval t...

Re: Bluhawk

Construction well underway to connect traffic on Old 56 to Mahaffie (Garmin) via Church St extension underneath 35 parallel to train tracks. Does anyone happen to have any pictures on that? I'd very much like to see how that project is going. I want a closer look, as well, so I'll try to snap some ...

Re: Bluhawk

One step at a time. Interestingly, the uptick kind of started west at the Parker (K-7)/Santa Fe intersection, and is being tied together with little Mexico by the improvements and govt building projects in downtown Olathe. As for Santa Fe between 35 and Mur Len, especially the north side of the road...

Re: 95 Metcalf North Plan submitted to city

It's a bit of a shock to the system (and a pleasant surprise, so to speak) if one is seeing that area for the first time since all the construction began a few years ago.

Re: Would you like to see the Royals move to a downtown stadium?

Yes. Royals Stadium in the 1970s and 1980s was gorgeous. The remodeled K is a desperate attempt to make baseball more appealing while increasing revenue. Downtown doesn’t need the Royals, but the Royals might need Downtown. The re-modeled K does have a lot of unnecessary fluff, esp beyond the outfi...

Re: Bluhawk

All this while retail on 135th/Santa Fe has never been able to establish itself. That includes Martin City, Olathe, Leawood, and OP that all have spotty half failing developments. Although, Olathe has done a good job - propelled by the growing Hispanic population/buying power - of encouraging, welc...

The basketball rivalry has been renewed for 6 years, starting in 2020.

2 games in Lawrence
2 games in KC
2 games in Columbia
4 of the 6 games will be played in Missouri! I love it!

The Gateway Tower is in the Jefferson Memorial District zone (in blue on the map that encompasses the JNEM/Archgrounds ...

Re: Ballpark Village v4.7 (st. louis)

Does anyone know when the last 10+ story, or even 5+ story built in downtown was? It seems like this is the biggest and the only development in Downtown STL that I can think of. - 9th Street Garage (Garagemahal) - 13 Floors: 2007 - Lumiere Place Casino - 2007 - Four Seasons Hotel - 19 Floors: 2007 ...
