Re: OFFICIAL - The Gallerie (27th & Gillham)

There was no spill over from the roof. A large hole erupted in the ceiling of this balcony followed by gushing water which carried large amounts of insulation and pieces of drywall onto the balcony and down the side of the building. The water ran until KCFD and/or management were able to turn it off.

Luckily, I think the water leak was limited to exterior only.

Interesting. What are they doing for trash collection? Eligible residences: Single-family homes, duplexes, and apartments or other housing units in buildings that contain six or fewer units get weekly residential trash collection and weekly curbside recycling service. Apartments, condominiums and to...

Re: New Broadway Bridge

Is the direct connection on Broadway really needed at this point? Commuters on the west side of the loop can now head west down 12th street to get on the highway since the whole point was to add the direct access to the bridge from I-35. West alternative was so much better.

Atlas 303 is a new build (it will require some demolition which adds to the cost):

Can we all agree not to have 3 pages worth of posts about the location of the neighboring property's dumpsters? Thanks
Now we can get back to arguing about the existence of a hypothetical off-leash dog park within a hypothetical park.

Ballasted? So railroad ties on a crushed stone bed?
This small stretch (and the potential extension to the casino) would be a nice place to do the grass covered track beds seen in Europe.

Yes, as a Union Hill resident I can tell you that the cemetery is already very highly used as a park by joggers, dog walkers, people pushing strollers, even the occasional skateboarder or rollerskater. It is not wasted space at all and would be a travesty to remove the historic tombstones. And the e...

Re: Phase 2 streetcar to UMKC

I'm still not sold on the placement of stops after intersections (leading to cars backing up behind the trains and blocking the intersection), and agree central running streetcar through midtown would be so much better than curb running. Aren't they at least center running for the stretch of Main be...

I don't care if QT is shot down since I don't really frequent them but u have got to wonder how many people would support this project if it was a Trader Joe's or Amazon Grocery Store Dramatically more, despite that a QT is far more likely to bring tax dollars in from Kansas residents In defense, t...
